Great B&B for Visiting the Cape, Amazing HostsThis was quite possibly my best B&B experience ever! The owners, Carol and Jeff are quite amazing. They were so personable and helpful; if it looked like I needed anything, they were right there to offer support with bike pumps, recommendations, take-up breakfast (I was working on this trip during the breakfast times), directions, great conversation, dinner recommendations, everything. We were in Room #6, which worked out perfectly. The decor was very well done with lots of special touches. I could work from a bright sunny room & still have time to get out and explore the Cape in the evenings. Just minutes from the beach on my bike. We used their app to find area locations. We stayed for a week during mid-September. On the few days I could get down for breakfast, it was very special, both the atmosphere & the food. My favorites were the french toast & waffles (I know... but it was vacation). All in all, a great trip during COVID. The owners were very cautious regarding safety so we felt very comfortable.

Anniversary Get AwayStaying at a hotel on the Cape is a deal breaker for me. While I usually go to the Vineyard, we wanted to avoid the ferry ride. We found this gem online and it lived up to the reviews. Great room, amazing breakfasts, and close to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Thanks to Carol and Jeff for a great stay. Carol even made special cookies for the hubby who had no shame in asking for cookies with nuts ( although I am allergic!)

ALSO Anniversary Getaway:)I see from another review this month we are an additional Anniversary Getaway review - our 30th. We were fortunate to get the last available room at Captain Farris House. Totally last minute, booked 2 days earlier. We have never been to Cape Cod and didnt have much time to research it! Our host Carol helped us get a rare late reservation at a fabulous and popular oceanfront restaurant for a special dinner, so appreciated and unexpected! First, the Inns COVID guidelines are thoughtful and reassuring - we felt very safe. Our room, Russells Hideaway, was lovely, with a spacious bathroom and walkout deck. Breakfast both days was delicious! First morning was blueberry French toast casserole and a fruit parfait, second was honey ham and egg breakfast crepe w/fruit salad. We have stayed at B&Bs in the past, but never had such direct access to the kitchen which is actually quite nice! You can grab a coffee early in the morning or a cookie in the afternoon. Our first morning breakfast was on the front porch - beautiful in mild autumn weather. Second morning was in the parlor, which has an absolutely gorgeous mantle and elaborate crown moldings. Although the website shows a brass bed in the room, it states a beautiful mahogany sleigh bed - which is accurate. The bed was very comfortable. I also loved the location - it is central to everything on The Cape. Carol gave us great restaurant suggestions as well. Final note... the ginger cookies set out for guests on the second day were AMAZING! If Im back in Cape Cod, Ill be back at Captain Farris House:)

Wedding weekendWe had a terrific time at the Captain Farris House. We were greeted warmly by Carol and Jeff on arrival and they were great about COVID safety. We stayed in the Pheobe White suite, which is not attached to the main house. This gave us privacy and the suite was great, with a nice gas fireplace and a terrific balcony. The inn was a three minute walk to a little river and a 10 minute bike ride to the ocean. All the meals were fantastic, especially the baked goods. We did the elopement package and it was great. Carol put us in contact with an officiant, coordinate the photographer, and worked with us on picking a cake and flowers. Everything was a 10/10.
