Not greatLocation is fantastic, the tavern downstairs is pretty good too, and the staff were friendly...but the room? The single beds are seriously the smallest Ive ever seen. The bathroom wall is glass, half of it isnt even frosted so you can clearly see anyone sitting on the toilet...no matter who you are travelling with, you dont need to see someone sitting on the toilet. The room was hot and the air con was temperamental and noisy. Oh and my sheets had black marks on them. Most of the negative reviews seem to be about the studio apartments, so if I were to stay here again, it would have to be in a one bedroom apartment, the studios are horrendous.

Was very surprised! We stayed in the Capitol Apartments as part of an Airbnb setup and I was really surprised at how close to the Convention centre this place was! It's modern look and manageable space were great for our Supanova needs but the close placements of the doors to the neighbours was a bit odd since it was essentially inside it's own little room as well. We did get to meet our neighbours as we tried to navigate around each other, so that was a bonus! Access to the gym and pool is fantastic since it was literally right next to us but I sadly didn't get to experience them since we were so busy. I loved the outside balcony and how it was designed to make it into your own secluded area. Despite having a track right next to us, the area was rather quiet. There were times when the thin walls let through the other hotel noises, but these were nothing serious to worry about. The room overall was very modern looking and wonderful. I'm sure each one has it's own personal touches, but ours was lovely to relax in after a long drive from NSW. The shower pressure was lacking a little (not sure if it's just our room or not) but was still useable. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at the Capitol and will look forward to it again whenever I am on the road next!

The worst apartment you can find in South BrisbaneThe air con was full of dust and disgusting. The bed was not comfortable. The front desk Asian lady was very unhelpful for my lost property of my rings that left on the bed side table. She wouldnt even help to call the house keeping and said they are off duty... 2:40 pm in the afternoon... Its a terrible managed accommodation. Would be alright for budget backpackers.

Could do better.A very tall building overlooking the main line railway. Well equipped rooms. All very clean. Beds and bedding nice and fresh. Bathroom nice and clean as well as spacious. Toilet seat was installed incorrectly which was a challenge as the lid kept coming down. Tea bags, milk and sugar plentiful. Pool far too small and closed too early.

Awful awful awful awfulI have never felt so compelled to write a bad review about a place before now. We stayed two nights here because we had socialising to do in and around Brisbane. We booked into a room with a large double bed, air con and a bathroom. Thats all a couple on a romantic weekend away, needs, right? I hope I can adequately describe how bad it all was. The first thing thats distasteful when I arrive is that the staff insist on taking my credit card to put a hold on some money. I ask- are you placing a hold on it or deducting it and then refunding it later? They said it was just a hold. Then they took it out of my card and itll be returned 7-10 business days later. Thanks for not knowing the difference and not telling me the truth. Strike one. Also, there was no reason to take a cent off my card because there was nothing I was able to pay for in the room anyway. No minibar, no snacks, no room service.... nothing. I go up to our room and the first thing I notice is that the bathroom wall between the bedroom and the toilet... is glass. Not opaque or darkening glass... just glass. Romantic weekend away watching your partner go potty in front of you, anyone? Then there was the broken air con. When I called the front desk from my mobile phone - because the room phone didnt work- they said oh yes, it needs a new compressor and the serviceman cant get here today seeing as it was Friday and we checked out Sunday, its reasonable to assume it wasnt going to be fixed for the duration of our stay. The tone of the person at reception was very - so thats okay, isnt it? I assured her it was not okay. I complained about the bathroom having absolutely no privacy and was told- no one else has complained as though it makes it okay to provide no privacy to the meek. They said theyd see if they could find me another room- and they did- it was identical except there were a couple of useless frosted panels in the glass wall right beside the toilet and the aircon worked.... just. The room had paint damage and was just not pleasant to be in. When I booked online, I chose the double bed configuration for the weekend. I also received a call to confirm. When we arrived, we got two double beds pressed together made up with queen size sheets but because both of the beds were on wheels, every time my partner attempted to cuddle me in the night, one of us found ourselves falling between the cracks while the beds went off in their own directions. Also, the beds were two different heights and were rock hard! Awful to sleep on. We were told when we booked that car parks were free and available. They werent. Most of the building is residential and there are a total of roughly 5 visitor parks in the three floors of car parks. We missed out on one and got abruptly admonished for parking in the tradesmans parks. Honestly, the aircon repair man could have had it if he had bothered to turn up! All in all, the only thing I liked about the place was the location but the area is flooded with apartments and hotels so if youre looking, dont book here. Its truly awful. I wont be back.
