  Not the best

  I have to admit... This tsogo sun really wasn't up to the usual tsogo sun standards. The Victorian baths and spring pools were amazing and a wonderful experience I can not lie in that regard and the grounds are beautifully maintained but the rooms are really stuck in the stone ages. The cable channels are so minimal,the water in our bathroom took forever to go down, you are not given new beach towels despite paying a deposit, the rooms don't even have USB ports in this day and age... And the breakfast although I know it's covid was so basic... We could have at least seen what we were ordering. It was a pleasant experience but I really suggest the hotel refurbishes and as soon as possible.

  My husband and myself celebrated our wedding anniversary on the 22nd Dec, the staff was amazing and welcoming. The baggage guy went out of his way to assist us, even parked our car. Covid precautions were applied at the reception desk, pens were sanitized after each use. We understood the reason why the beverages were placed in a transparent bag. The issue with the wifi was sorted in no time. The only snag was the breakfast which was not great, seems as if there is mass production in the kitchen.Dinning room staff can make do with Covid training. Fitted sheets seems to be in short supply.

  Disappointing

  Not a great experience in my view . Totally overpriced, only 1 restaurants open with crappy service and food . No porters , no room service, pools dirty and slimy ; inclusive breakfast disappointing. I understand the COVID regulations but when you pay a lot and feel done in , you wont go back . So many other better options out there . The spa treatments and the quad biking - offered by external company were great on the upside !

  3 nights at Caledon hotel, hot baths

  Very friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. However the air conditioning unit did not function properly. So we just switched it off. The cleaning of the baths was a nuisance because we could not use them then. The sauna was not hot enough

  Over priced

  Booking in at the hotel at reception was a big mistake as I paid R1900 for a standard room, when I viewed the website not even there delux rooms where at that rate, no tea, coffee, mini bar and towels in the rooms is rediciouls and apparently covid regulations, atleast then drop your rates if you can't give full services, no hotel bar or atmosphere. Sad waste of a beautiful hotel.
