  Lugar soñado!!!

  Este casi centenario ( fundado en 1923) hotel, es desde todo punto de vista, el hotel ideal. Estuvimos unos días allí y empezando por la tremenda amabilidad de todo el personal, la arquitectura es de película, en perfecto estado de conservación y modernizado sin alterar la belleza del lugar. Las habitaciones son muy amplias, con camas enormes y con todo el confort. El lugar del desayuno es excelente y la atención súper eficiente, y la comida de sibaritas. El restaurante en el piso dos es de una belleza que los ojos no pueden parar de observar, y siempre es acompañado por un piano con muy buena ejecución y variedad musical. En fin no se cuando volveré a esta hermosa ciudad, pero de algo estoy seguro, el hotel ya lo tengo . Jamás olvidaré este lugar y su gente.

  Excellent experience. Service was outstanding. Friendly & helpful employees. Hotel very clean. Do to COVID-19 the only restaurant open was the lobby bar & grill and it was very good. Also the valet was very professional.

  The Brown offers great luxury, great service, and a rich and and interesting history.

  My wife are I returning guests to the Brown. The hotel has an interesting history that is centered around its founder, and Louisvilles invisible benefactor, James Graham Brown. The Brown Hotel is perhaps even more famous for its gift to the culinary world, the Hot Brown-a delectable dish, made with simple ingredients, that is so rich and complex that it cannot be explained. The Hot Brown was famously created at the Brown, consisting of roast turkey, brioche toast slices, pecorino, bacon, tomato, and a rich mornay sauce (one of the 5 French mother sauces). It is expertly broiled and served sizzling. There are many restaurants in Louisville that serve the Hot Brown. The hotel even provides the recipe free of charge, however, nothing compares to enjoying it at the hotel. The Brown also makes a special version of the classic Manhattan cocktail. Its expertly well-balanced. The Lobby Bar mixes it with orange bitters and garnishes it with cherries that are macerated in cognac. The orange bitters have a slight smokey flavor, similar to rimming the glass with an orange peel that has been held up to a lighter, but more delicate and more subtle. Its stirred and served up in a chilled glass. Like the Hot Brown and the Brown Manhattan, the hotel has perfected the guest experience by consistently repeating it and refining it for nearly a century. J. Graham Brown made the hotel his home for over 40 years and his attention to detail is reflected in every facet. Service is king at the Brown and the entire guest experience, from valet service to dinner service, is executed with the highest commitment to the guest experience. I cannot finish this review without mentioning the Muhammad Ali suite. Its a corner suite that offers 2 bathrooms, a spacious living room, a very nice dining room with a wet bar, and a nice king bed. The master bathroom has a large jacuzzi and there is a large shower in the guest bathroom. The suite is adorned with boxing memorabilia that is centered around the suites namesake and Louisvilles most famous athlete, Muhammad Ali. Enjoying Hot browns and Manhattans, in the dining room, of the suite is something that I would recommend. If you find yourself in Louisville, you should seriously consider staying here. If you dont have business in Louisville, you may want to visit, and if you do, you should stay at the Brown.

  Outstanding Service, Drinks, and Food

  Excellent and awesome! Our two night stay was great. Service outstanding. Great bar with excellent drinks and food. Mr Ritchie, bar manager and bourbon steward, was first class and treated everyone in a professional and friendly manner.

  Overnight stay to visit a friend

  I love historic hotels. This is certainly one of those at almost 100 years. The service was very good. Staff friendly and courteous. We stayed during COVID so not everything was open. Main dining closed and no breakfast. We had dinner at the smaller restaurant and it was very good. The bed was comfortable. Hotel needs a little more updating. Radiator in bathroom had a very dirty filter.
