Ok hotelLocation is good. Room is clean but the toiletries were not replenished. We asked for a second key so that we could put something on charge whilst we went for dinner but they declined. Breakfast was good but service poor. We always had to ask for plates, cutlery, mugs etc.

Good location, nice hotelThis hotel has a good location, friendly staff, rooms are modern and clean. Breakfast is good, would recommend. Only about 10 mins from river Kwai and near to the shops and bars. Laundry over the road with bike hire shop next door if required

One NightNice hotel and v clean. Staff were very helpful and polite. Would recommend for a couple of nights. The hotel is near the top of the Main Street with all the bars, so location is good for entertainment and still quiet! It is also perfect location for River Kwai (short walk) as well as the museum and cemetery.

A stand out in town.We were very impressed with everything . The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms spotless. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and meals in the restaurant were very good. Complimentary fruit was an added bonus. Thoroughly recommended.

Great location, but not on the riverThis is a fairly new hotel for the area and is brilliantly located right on the corner of the bridge over the river and with a 7-Eleven on the opposite corner. That said, the views of the river from the rooms are very restricted, which is a shame. It's clean, rooms are a decent size and the facilities are good for what you pay. It's a shame the balconies are not a bit bigger so you can sit on them and try to get a glimpse of the river but never mind. It's funny to write this in September and realise that the owners perhaps don't read Tripadvisor. The same issues with breakfast apply. It's the same food, more or less, every day, but saying that it's good enough. But they just can't seem to keep a supply of things for the guests they have. Almost everything runs out, from forks, plates, to milk and coffee. They also turn off the dish heaters around 09:00 or earlier so if you're a later riser, the food can be cold. A peculiarity in the rooms is the sink and tap layout. They seem to have fitted taps in every room (well, all the ones I sneaked in to test out) that gush the water out everywhere except in the basin. It's a sort of horizontal fountain that hits you square in the groin. Putting a towel over the front of the basin stops most of the water flooding the floor, but you have to turn the tap down to a trickle to avoid an embarrassing wet patch. Advice - put a towel around you before using the sink. I also wonder about the location of the pool. It's a good size, clean (except for the filter cover on the right hand side whose housing has rusted away leaving an unsightly rust coloured void), but will tarnish any silver you wear so be warned. The chemical additives are super corrosive. There's no view at all from the pool so with hindsight I'm thinking they missed a chance to have this on the roof, which would have been spectacular and very popular with guests. We saw about 2 or 3 other groups over 3 days, and at peak times (late afternoon) this says it all given the hotel was full and there were plenty of kids around. Last point - if you're someone who needs to use wifi, forget it. Guests complained in February 2019 about it and it doesn't seem like anything has been done. It's really bad - the hotel provides a server login but unless you force a logoff it's hard to get back on and the speed is very slow for these times.
