Sub-par Hotel
We recently spent the night at the Bridge Hotel on the first night of our family China tour. Perhaps my expectations were too high, as it is a 3 star hotel, but our tour operator (China Travel Service) had arranged it and we had told them we wanted 4 and 5 star hotels since the standards are lower in China. The room was small, smoky and stuffy. As we were exhausted we slept ok, but it was the worst hotel of our 2 weeks in China. When we returned to Shanghai we insisted on being changed to a different hotel. When I see the price of $40 listed here on TripAdvisor, I understand why the hotel was so bad!
