Fantastic hotel, hidden gemStayed here for one night while visiting Aberdeen for a gig and I wasn't sure what to expect from the hotel, as it only cost £24 for the night. However, I can't recommend this place enough Its a 10 minute walk from the bus station, if that, and only 4 minutes walk to the Aberdeen Music Hall. It was really easy to find, and there are clear signs telling you where the reception is. I found all of the reception staff to be really friendly and smiley. I was in room 201, which was at the end of a corridor so there was minimal noise from people walking past the room. The room itself was spacious, well lit and nice and warm! A super comfy bed and heaps of fluffy pillows made this room worth so much more than £24. There was also a decent sized private bathroom with a quality shower, heated towel rail and lots of complimentary items including soap, shampoo, body moisturiser plus toothbrush and toothpaste. There was also a flat screen tv in the room, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and a radio alarm clock. Plus lots of fluffy towels provided. The hotel is currently refurbishing its kitchen areas so there's no breakfasts included; this is clearly stated on the website so I'm not sure where the prior angsty rants from other travelers are coming from. The cracking location of the OYO means you wont struggle to find somewhere to eat nearby. If you're looking for a great quality stay in Aberdeen and a fab price check out the OYO Brentwood, it's worth every penny.

I would not recommend.I recently stayed here with family and we ended up staying in 2 separate hotels. I had got an amazing deal on hotels.com on my room however the room itself was very very basic. The shower and sink was in the room itself which was not the room advertised. Thought this was quite unhygienic. My family were in the other hotel and on the Saturday night had complained about noise. This was not taken seriously by reception. My family had phoned twice and reception did nothing about the noise. There must have been at least 8+ people in the room and none were asked to leave even though it was a room for 4 persons. Both me and another member of my family work as receptionists for a hotel in our home town and we are appalled at the level of respect given by the receptionists when the complaint was made. Breakfast was advertised on booking.com however my family had not received any and when confronting the receptionist about this she just shrugged her shoulders and said that the restaurant was closed but this also was not advertised on booking.com. Poor advertisement and shocking level of respect given by staff. Do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Cheap but if you can afford it would be better to pay a bit more for a better room in a better hotel.I've stayed in the Brentwood many time over the years and it was a nice place to stay and not to expensive. However since OYO is running the hotel things have gone downhill. When we checked in we were sent next door to what was another adjoining hotel formerly the Highland Hotel they seem to be running both hotels as one. The room was dated and could have done with redecoration but it was clean. The bed was comfortable but the duvet was very thin so it was quite cold and the room was cold. The shower was OK but the extractor fan was noisy. On the plus side the hotel is within easy walking distance on the main shopping street and the shopping centres and a short distance along the road there is a small shop that stays open late and you can buy sandwiches/snacks and get something for breakfast as there are no meals available in the hotel.

MrsThis hotel is not open and advertised as open, it leads you to believe its open on booking.com, advertising free parking, then when you get there you get put in a B and B pay an extra 40 and a tener a night for parking, shambles is an understatement, trying to get anyone that speaks English on the phone is also an understatement either that or they pretend to not understand you, shambolic never will I ever stay at any oyo hotel again,

Oyo Brentwood AberdeenTravelled there last Saturday 12 September to find the hotel in darkness. It took a local resident to come out of there house to inform me the hotel has been closed for 7mths. Standing there with 2 children. Quick enough to take the money off me. I had to borrow my daughters birthday money to pay for another hotel. Managed to settle them in at 8.25pm. Will not use oyo again.
