  Last trip for the season

  Never sure what to expect when we travel right now but The Breakers never disappoints! Room spotless, check in was very pleasant. Our last visit to Rehoboth for the season and enjoyed it as always. Hotel is off the boardwalk so not crazy people, plus they offer a golf cart service to the beach! Would definitely recommend.

  Working on first class status

  Have been coming for years. Especially comfortable during this pandemic situation as they have table and chairs and nice balconies. Microwave to reheat leftovers and the breakfast was complete. Eggs seemed to be premixed though. But the friendly service more than made up for it. Their recent facelift shows their effort to bring this up to first class status.

  Hotel NOT Following COVID Protocols

  At a time when hotels are trying to win guests over with strict COVID protocols, this hotel is doing just the opposite. We encountered 3 staff members blatantly not wearing their masks. One claimed he forgot, the other 2 just stared us down when we looked at them. We wanted to let the manager know but there was none on duty at check out time. The front desk person was not apologetic when we informed him of the situation. On other less pressing but annoying issues. We requested for a corner room on a high floor. We got neither. The room was dark and dated and did not look like the photos online. If the above has not yet discouraged you from staying here, how about the fact that you will be woken up by construction right in front of the length of the hotel at 5 am! There was a truck reversing and working at that time for 10 minutes. Full blown construction work began just before 8 am with heavy trucks and machinery going down the small roads. Construction work was not indicated on the hotel's website at the time of booking and this review. On the plus side, the hot breakfast option was great with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and fried potatoes. They were served in a box by a friendly attendant. This got the hotel its one star.

  Great hotel with nice location

  Cathy and Eva were very accommodating, we stayed for a long weekend with our dog and it was great. The hotel is nearby blue moon, pines, Aqua and the beach so it super easy to get anywhere. Highly recommended.

  Deceitful advertising/ Awful customer service

  I booked a stay for my 2 daughters (ages 7, 8) on a winter beach trip specifially so that they could swim in the indoor pool. Upon check-in we were told that the pool was closed due to renovations. Nowhere on their website does it say this. We told them we wanted to cancel our reservation and we'd find a hotel with an indoor pool. They refused to let us get our money back. We didn't stay anyway becauase after promosing the girls swimming for days leading up to the 3 hour drive I didn't want to disappoint them. We did check out the room before we left and it had a weird smell and an old fuzzy tv. We would definitely NEVER stay here again based on customer service alone and would NOT recommend it.
