  Very clean, excellent food, excellent staff. BEST MUFFINS EVER! Everything in the Inn as as original as possible including the floors and fire places so if you love history you will love this inn. Very clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and on top of everything. The breakfast (4 entrees to select from each morning) is absolutely delicious. They make the most delicious muffins daily - to die for- I don't even usually like muffins. It is located right at the Gettysburg Square/downtown areas o less than two block walk from all the restaurants and shops. Unlike some B&Bs you can come and go as you please in the evening. They also have a beautiful whimsical garden/patio area out back. It was our first visit but the friends and family we went with have been many times and always have rave reviews. Can't wait to go back!

  Fantastic!

  What a fabulous experience from start to finish! Last minute NYE reservations were taken with ease. Brian & the staff were beyond wonderful. The romance package started our night with champagne, strawberries & a Dobbin House dinner. The Lincoln Suite was perfect. But what we are STILL talking about is the lemon poppyseed muffins for breakfast! Holy wow! I wonder if the Brafferton folks would sell me some!!! Highly recommended B&B!

  So close to a five star

  I wanted to give this place five stars. The location is great and if you are traveling with a group (and the weather is nice) the patios and connected porches between rooms are quiet and attractive. We had to climb quite a few stairs to get to our room (the North Suite) which was fine but unexpected. The suite has a comfortable couch, small screen tv, nice size bedroom and bathroom with a roomy shower and nice heat. However, we had just returned from a strenuous hike up and were hugely disappointed by the old springy mattress. Also, we would have preferred an alternative arrangement for breakfast, like maybe we pick up fruit and pastry to take back to our rooms? We inquired but were told everyone eats in the dining room which is small and although they did not seat the middle table, we were otherwise with a group of unmasked people for about 30 minutes (Jan 2021). The breakfast was delicious so this issue should be moot in the future. Amenities were sparse, ladies bring your own toiletries. Check out was fine. Staff wore masks when they were interacting with guests but not in the kitchen or in the office (they put them on when you approach).

  50th Birthday

  My fiancé and I loved the Brafferton Inn! Our room was perfect. Joan and Brian went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. Joan helped my fiancé get roses in the room to surprise me when we got there. She told us all about the history of the inn. Recommended restaurants and sights. The room was cozy and clean. Highly highly recommend!! Well definitely stay there again!!

  Wonderful Stay!

  My wife and I stayed at The Brafferton Inn this past weekend for Valentine's day and had a wonderful time. The room was lovely, and immaculately clean. The innkeepers were kind, helpful, and did a great job handling my dietary restrictions. Breakfast was delicious, and they had three different seating times in order to keep everyone socially distanced and safe. This was our first stay, but definitely won't be our last. Also really appreciated the discount card given to us for our next stay.
