  Great lunch. Staff working really hard to ensure we had a safe experience and the customer service was friendly and good. Crab sandwich was really good. We all enjoyed the beer, wine and food. Worth a visit. Thank you to all at The Boat House.

  Lunchtime meal

  The location is without doubt superb, the exterior of the hotel is great. The Covid-19 situation obviously creates a signing in process to log your details, while this varies amongst traders everywhere, the process here was more involved and complex, requiring you obtain the password for access to bar and service. That aside didn't expect to greeted by a mature and grumpy barman, who looked very unhappy in his work and looked upon me with contempt. Dread to think what paying guests get for service..

  Great view over the coast

  We loved our King room with a great view out over the coast line. Very friendly staff and they had left a Covid- cleaning check sheet in the room to show all the areas they had focused on. The accommodation is above the bar so could be noisy in the evening but was fine for us. I would dear one the breakfast as fine, perhaps described as having more homemade elements than were available on the day we were there giving a mismatch in expectations, but nothing to cause too great a concern. Would recommend and consider staying again.

  Poor lunch

  Lovely spot, poor service. Just about every thing seemed to go wrong with our lunch. One thing I found difficult to watch was the person in charge telling the waitress to sort this out in an aggressive manor in front us, this should be done behind the scenes.

  wonderful location

  We stayed here one night.. room was adequate but for a superior double room it lacked basics like bedside tables and lights.Just one teabag supplied with the kettle The bed was uncomfortable for us as the mattress was lumpy and despite a topper it felt thin . The best bit was being able to sleep with a window open listening to the sea ! ( we did notice that the sash windows were sadly very dirty collecting mould on the frames especially in the bathroom ). Breakfast was superb ... well done on getting that right . All staff were courteous and helpful. We would come again for the amazing location.
