Really convenient accommodationWe stayed were while visiting the hospital. The room was clean and The staff friendly and helpful. It was unfortunate there was noise show to night roadworks, but all considered it was minimal and didn't change the fact that the accommodation was perfect for our needs.

Just RightI stay at the Blenheim a couple of times each year. Clean, modern and convenient for me. I visit UNSW and Coogee. Road works have finished now (June 2019) - rooms are quiet. Internet is fast. Laundry is good.

Clean modern looking rooms, limited facilities, unimpressed by housekeepingWe booked the hotel based on a conference recommendation page. The booking was easy. I got instructions to get into the hotel the night before departing for Australia from New Zealand. As they did not have their reception opened after-hours (after 5 PM on weekends and holidays and 6 PM on weekdays), I'd have to collect keys by opening an envelope that'd carry my name on it and I'd get that envelop by opening a box by pressing digits. The box would be kept at eye-height, the email said. What it did not mention was that it was impossible to locate the hotel if you are entering in darkness as they do not have a sign anywhere with lights on that says it is a hotel and the name of the hotel is 'The Blenheim'. If it is dark and you arrive by public transport such as a bus (Bus number 400 from Sydney airport or Bus number 357), you will be lost. Use a google map/map finding app to locate the place. No one picked up the phone when I called the hotel before reaching. The room I booked was cramped, but clean and looked modern. The bed was comfortable. However they skimped on providing power outlets, and had a very narrow bench (no table to work on). There was a nice balcony where you could set up to work but it did not have power outlets. There were three power outlets for use: one would be for the hot water kettle, and the other closer to the floor in the room, and the third was in the bathroom. In comparison, most hotels in New Zealand or the United States I have stayed provide at least three open power outlets and a decent table to park your papers and laptop to work. The room was cleaned daily. What they did not change were the cups and plates, and spoons (the cutlery). They also did not replenish the tea/coffee sachets. When I asked if these would be cleaned, the manager directed me to their kitchen instead and asked me to clean them myself. Which was fine, but it'd be nice if the housekeeping were to take care of these things. One evening they slipped a paper notice under the door of the room announcing that there'd be no hot water available on the next day as their hot water system was not working and they would work on this to fix it. We were to expect it be back on service around the next day. In summary, overall a tidy modern looking hotel, with no signs to indicate it is a hotel. If such a hotel closes business everyday by 5-6 PM, it is a problem for the newcomer to find it. The housekeeping could improve. Perhaps add a table in the room and a few more power points for the busy traveller these days.

Value for moneyAfter initial hiccup assuming an apartment booking which thru some misunderstanding turned into a room booking all was well The room had a balcony which gave the space we needed Good location for those attending Prince of Wales hospital Light rail within walking distance Private bathroom shared kitchen and laundry facilities

So disappointedThe girl on reception is delightful. The windows need double glazing because the noise outside is appalling. The noise from other peoples toilet flushing and showers was also heard every time in my room. The room is very small but clean and nice but VERY overpriced. The shower recess does not have a deep enough rise around it and water went everywhere and had to spend my time mopping the floor. I was disappointed!!!!!!!
