  Our second honey moon

  It was awesome .. Beside everything in patong .. Beach , shopping , resturants , jungcelyon Bangala .. Reservation of trips from there is cheap .. Bath is good.. Bed is good.. Internet is good.. I think its v good for use it as a place to sleep only , if u think like that , u ll enjoy phuket . Phuket its not for stay in an hotel ..

  Money been stolen !!

  I'm a traveller at my self , and this is the first time happened to me something like that..and the first time i feel how is important to let people know about are experiences, basically they stole all my money from my locked bag !! Safe was not working. This is funny I basically didn't call the police, you will just waste your time, nothing they can't do about it and I'm sure I won't let anyone ruin my vacation and waist my time , but of course I talk to the owner about it and ask for the room to not be cleaned that day after what happened . All she had to say its"sorry " and after a bunch or your money disappear is not gonna help that much.  Anyhow I when out this time bringing the key of the room with me, and most of my belongings ..and guess who I found in my room looking true my stuff when I got back from swiming ?? I didnt believe my eyes. Anyhow I didn't felt it's a safe place to be. No security in a location where it's a must.   Ps. I apologise for my English as I'm originally from Italy..... Please be aware of this place , and of course as the lock on my bad was broken I could have done something about it , but I as just my opinion I would waste my vacation because of that...got my card took more cash out and keep enjoying paradise.

  Average but good location

  The hotel is located right in the heart of patong, 5 min walk to beach and Jungceylon shopping centre, bangla road also very close, the hotel is set back from the busy main street on a side road so although the night life is only mins away, you don't hear the noise from your room. The hotel is basic but comfortable our room was big and airy, bed was large but a little on the hard side. The bathroom was large and the shower was wonderful, don't get many toiletries though, we got one mini bar of soap and a tiny bottle of shampoo, but there is a 7/11 2 mins away so if you need to you can stock up there. There is a safe in the room to keep any valuables in. For the price this is a good hotel the only draw back is we were on the 4 th floor and there was no lift other than that would stay here again.

  Not worth your time!!!!!!!

  This place is in a good location, but that is all! The hint of bad weather and electric goes out and water backs up causing bad smells!!! The management is rude, we were harassed a few times about how we booked and also were told our booking was for less nights then we had booked. Had to reshow them all paperwork for booking through hotels.com and they still wanted to tells us we were wrong!!!!!!!! This place is not worth your time!!!!

  Cheap Not cheerful

  The Birdcage hotel is located a few minutes from Bangla and Jungceylon so Ideal if you like partying, shopping and the nice restaurants nearby. The Birdcage hotel is reasonably cheap and not without reason, the rooms themselves are small but they all have decent A/C and showers. The rooms are rarely cleaned by housekeeping in fact even after I asked reception to clean my room nothing was done, this was after 4 days of staying there!!! The major issue regarding the Birdcage is the security is always sleeping meaning anyone can enter the building and the security will never know, the keys for the rooms are also left in full view on the desk there are no safety deposit boxes again making it easy for thieves. Or do you take the risk and keep all valuables with you all the time? Overall the Birdcage hotel wasnt worth staying at even for the low price due to worrying about the safety of my passport and bank cards.
