30th wedding Anniversary surprise from the kidsHad a lovely overnight stay at this beautiful Manor. From check in to check out it was superb. The room was in one of the outer buildings but was lovely. The staff were very welcoming friendly and efficient. In fact my husband kept commenting on how good the staff were. The evening meal was beautiful. It was then onto a fireside chair to relax and enjoy drinks for the rest of the evening. Breakfast again next morning was delicious. I would definitely recommend a stay here . .

A brilliant Hotel - pretty much perfectWe stayed for 4 nights in October half term and had a brilliant stay. The rooms were clean and spacious and the grounds were lovely. The tennis courts were an extra bonus and the swimming was great. (The pool was perhaps a touch too cold?) The handling of COVID regs was very good and the bar and restaurant were cosy and lovely. The food was outstanding, every time. And best of all was the service. There was nothing that the staff couldnt do for you. The front of house manager Stefan was in particular, first class in every way. The ladies in the Spa area could perhaps smile a bit more and be a little friendlier. But overall it was brilliant and we will definitely return...

Return to billesleyThis was our return to billesley after a bad experience. They have now adjusted their ways of doing things and everything is back to what we expect from the hotel. The service was good, food was excellent and the rooms were lovely. the building itself is beautiful and the gardens are lovely to walk around and enjoy. Highly recommended.

Cheque your bill before you leaveHad a pleasant stay here for my birthday in October. I haven't reviewed until months later because I tried to put the experience out of my mind. As a treat for my birthday, my (recently retired) husband paid a hefty amount for an upgraded room and some flowers and champagne. The room was nice and comfortable enough and the flower display was stunning. The grounds were attractive and the hotel full of history. However, our enjoyment was spoilt when we checked out to find, after we had paid, that we had been charged double for the flowers and the room upgrade. It was not what you would expect from a hotel of this standard. It wasn't until we studied the bill carefully that we realised. We could easily have left having paid over £100 extra as often we do quick checkout, without managing to get it rectified. The man on the desk didn't apologise when we had to return and point the error out and get a refund. It was almost like this was our fault. It really put us off this hotel, and made our first visit to Stratford end in a really sad and disappointed way. We won't be going back, but did want to warn people that there's a lot of sharp practice going on in these hard times and to be at the sticky end of deceit like this is really upsetting. So double and triple check your bill before you pay and don't get caught out like us. Better still, find somewhere else to stay where they don't try this sort of thing on you.
