  Cozy historic hotel right in downtown area

  Nice staff in a beautiful little historic hotel with luxurious modern rooms and very pet friendly! Although in a downtown area, very safe because they lock the doors so you must enter with a key card. I loved the interior decor, very classy, nothing kitsch. I hope to return soon!

  Poor customer service from management

  I am currently a guest at this hotel. I called downstairs to request a late check out (9:10am), and was told by Alfreda, the hotel manager, that she could only give me 30 minutes. I then asked her how much it would cost for a 2pm checkout (2 hours) and was told an entire day. She then said she would give me an additional hour for half a day of a day rate, and the rate for that was $69, with a whole day rate of $149. So regular checkout being 12noon, I will pay $69 to leave at 1pm, and $149 to leave at 2pm. I went to your site, looked online and saw that your rate for today is $98. I called her back and told her this information, and she said I needed to click on the retail rate. THERE IS NO WAY FOR ME TO DO THAT!! I asked her to navigate me to the retail rate options, which she obviously cannot. At this point, I requested to speak with another manager, and was told she would give my information to Mr. Miller. The problem with that is, she doesn't even know my name. The room was checked in by my wife, and she never bothered to ask who I was. The customer service here is horrible, I will never stay here again. It's not like she has a large quantity of guests, I checked availability and it's a lot. During this pandemic, one would think they would like to hold onto guests, I guess that's not the case here.

  Beautiful hotel

  Amazing hotel with beautiful rooms, close to everything in downtown. I highly recommend it! I was able to upgrade my room free of charge which was an amazing recommendation from the staff. The only thing I did not like was the parking situation.

  Berkeley Hotel - like home

  Loved the hotel, location/access to amazing restaurants, and the staff were very attentive. I spent the entire month of February at the hotel, and they made it feel like home. I used the valet parking as I found it was easier than going in/out of different garages. Plus, my dog could join me! It was quiet and I would definitely return.

  Great Location, Lovely Hotel

  This is a lovely old hotel in a fun part of town - walking distance to restaurants, the canal/river walk, museums, etc. The room had a balcony and it was really nice to come back from a long day of work and sit on the balcony with a glass of wine to unwind. I'm looking forward to visiting again sometime post-COVID when the restaurant is operating again.
