  First holiday in years where Ive actually unwound!

  I wont rewrite any of the more recent 5 star reviews listed here except to confirm their validity. Exceptional food at every single meal (thank you Chef Steve!), attentive and responsive staff in true laidback Aussie style and tour guides for whom nothing is too much to ask. Captained by the legend that is Denise, who manages to lead the staff by setting the finest example of top notch customer service. The only suggestion I would make would be to find a way to get more shade around the pool but apart from that, I couldnt fault a thing. Amazing holiday!

  Amazing Holiday!

  Thank you Berkeley River for an incredible holiday! We enjoyed every second of our five day stay. We Loved not having to think on holiday! All excursions planned, delicious food prepared every day, cheese platters, soft drinks, juice & alcohol available on all excursions! We didnt realise every night is degustation with matching wines! We were lucky to do 2 extra fishing trips as others didnt want to go! Bruce was amazing on the fishing trips! Catching live bait to make sure we caught barramundi! Andy was so calming, helpful and knowledgeable on all excursions. Denise was such an incredible manager making sure everyone was looked after! Number 20 villa is far away from the main area but it is by far the best as the bathroom views over the beach & bush. A good tip would be to pack snacks from Coles Kununurra to keep in your villa and to take on excursions. We made friends with such lovely people and just had the best fun!

  Absolutely amazing

  Absolutely amazing place to visit where the service was faultless, the tours were fun and the scenery absolutely stunning. Food was beautifully prepared and the the rooms were tastefully decorated. Would love to return one day.

  Up there with the best holidays ever!

  Berkeley River Lodge is luxury amidst an outdoor oasis. I did not have much to do with the planning of this trip, and was immediately blown away by its remote location, the light plan transfer, the bubbles on arrival, and then sitting down to a seafood platter lunch. As our flight was delayed, I must say we were grateful for Denise organizing the kitchen remain open so we could order our food. The room we arrived at was sympathetic to the amazing sea view, tastefully decorated, and was perfect for this holiday. There's also a nice feature which I'll omit in this review so you can discover it for yourself. I like it that there's an included Nespresso machine with both normal and decaffeinato pods. What followed for the next few days were small group tours featuring aboriginal art, bus hikes, river cruise, and a fishing trip. The tours were very good indeed, and ticked off a few bucket list items - swimming in gorgeous water holes, fishing for barramundi (I caught my two biggest fish ever on this trip), seeing my wife catch a shark on a hand line, and taking in the harsh and beautiful scenery of the top end of our state. We really enjoyed having Bruce as our tour guide for most of our trips, and learning about his very interesting and extreme lifestyle choices. Nick, the helicopter pilot was excellent, and while he doesn't really sell the helicopter ride hard, made it an extremely memorable event for us. Dempsey did a great job on the river cruise. And we thank Chris for all his hard work behind the scenes. Additional thanks to the chef and his team who work hard behind the scenes. Plus Gwen, and Caroline for being so responsive to our needs. The degustation dinners served at Berkeley were of a ridiculously high standard, and the paired wines were excellent. While I say Berkeley is like a Club Med for adults, I have to qualify that this is not a joint where the cocktails are watered down. I'm looking forward to when I can go 'OFF ROAD' to Berkeley River Lodge again. Highly recommend it!!! Cheers, Colin

  If you want to see the Kimberley this is definitely the way to see it. Great tours all included, staff are just fantastic and can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Food and drinks excellent which is amazing considering the location and logistics to get everything there, such a fantastic location. You need to pack old shoes and clothes, just a few good things for the evening degustation dinner as the red dust seems to get into everything and some of the walking treks are quite strenuous but well worth the effort when you swim in the remote water hole at the end of the journey, so refreshing. You can opt out or change for another option. Overall a great 5 day holiday.
