  Nice and affordable hotel on Belgrave Road in Torquay.

  Pros: 1) Friendly owner Alan. 2) Close to the beach (about 10 minutes walk). 3) Supermarket is right next to hotel. 4) King Room is really big (bathroom is small but private) 5) Good breakfast. 6) 3 free parkings spaces available (but you can't pre-book them so first come first serve). 7) Wi-Fi available. Cons: 1) Cleanliness was not great. Found lots of hair on our chair, TV remote and light switches were dirty, bathroom extractor has tons of dust (room 3). On the middle of coronavirus pandemic cleanliness is very important. 2) Breakfast time is only between 8.30 and 9.30 am. Didn't like waking up early to be at the restaurant at 9 am. 2) 1 tiny bottle of shower gel and 1 tiny bottle of shampoo for 2 people for the entire stay. Ran out of them next day. Bring your own gels and shampoo with you. 3) King Room is facing very busy Belgrave Road with a lot of traffic, could not sleep without ear plugs. 4) King Room's door needs adjustment (very misaligned), was hard to open. Overall experience - good for the price, we will be back.

  2nd time at the Belmont

  Our 2nd time at this B&B what a great little place nothing is to much for Alan & Sarah, great hosts, fantastic breakfast, close to everything, great prices, looking forward to our 3rd stay, with definitely be staying here again, thank you for both for making our visit so pleasant see you soon Gary and Shirley

  Perfect

  Myself and my boyfriend have just spent the weekend at the Belmont hotel- it was lovely and the owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend- rooms very clean and tidy. The breakfasts were delicious.

  Lovely stay

  My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights, we stayed in the king size superior room (number 3) and couldnt fault it. The room was huge, bed was super comfy, everything was clean and tidy! The owners cant do enough for you and are very helpful, the breakfast was delicious! Perfect location, quick walk to the beach, restaurants, bars etc. Good location to get to other nearby places too! Would definitely recommend and will be staying again when we next come to torquay!

  Not A Bad Little Place

  Spent a couple of nights at the Belmont. This B&B is absolutely fine. It has obviously been modernised by the owners and was clean and tidy. The room we had was big, clean and tidy, the en-suite was a bit small but it was fine. The owners were friendly. Breakfast was a bit chaotic on one of the mornings. The chap serving was run off his feet, but it was not a major issue. The location is OK, about a 15/20 minute walk to the harbour and town centre. The only issue is parking really. You have to find parking in the side streets around the corner. We managed to park about 7 or 8 minutes away and there were no parking restrictions for the duration of our stay. All in all, I would stay here again.
