  Fresh New Look

  A fresh new look to this village pub. As always, there's a team of friendly staff to serve delicious food. For the sports fans there are four screens to keep the regular Saturday and Sunday drinkers happy, but for those that are not into that then relax in the separate bar/restaurant area, or in the amazing beer garden looking over the spectacular views across Batemans.

  lovely food

  We had a meal on the 50% off deal.Lovely food,quick service and lovely staff will return. Prices are reasonable too. Felt safe as they have all thing in place. One way system, track and trace and they clean down all table and chairs when people leave.

  Excellent service food cleanliness

  Meals enjoyed by all, a vegan and vegetarian in our group really enjoyed their meal , the home cooked food was fresh and tasty Home made treacle sponge and seasonal homemade crumble delicious, the burgers, curry ,sausage and mash meals all went down well. Steak and Ale pie was awesome.The kids cleared their plates and enjoyed the warm welcome from Pauline and Jay and their friendly efficient staff team. Thank you all for a lovely evening.

  Fab, fab, fab

  Just returned from a fairly last minute booked weekend away and what a fantastic place we found to stay. Our room was lovely. It was really spacious with furnishings and decorations to a nice modern standard. Room was spotlessly clean. Although our room was next to the beer garden, only a few steps out of the patio doors showed beautiful views over the South Downs. Thank you to the chef who produced a fantastic Full English breakfast and some delicious meals on both nights of our stay. The owners and other staff members we met were also so welcoming and friendly, nothing seemed too much trouble. We will certainly be returning. Thankyou so much for a wonderful stay

  Took my daughter out for a meal there this evening beautiful meal and felt very safe with all the safety measures put in place highly recommend staff very friendly and very accommodating Felt very safe and happy to return again.
