  Enjoyed our stay, lovely coaching inn with original features

  Stayed for one night only but our room was super comfortable and well presented. To start with, car parking was really easy, not many places you find an original hotel garage in a 1930's building adjoining the hotel. Then the reception, our welcome was very warm. The hotel has many original features and signage giving it loads of atmosphere but additionally everything worked for us. Despite its central location, noise levels were minimal. Breakfast was good but perhaps not quite to the standard of the rest of the stay, mainly down to presentation not service.

  Lovely place lovely staff

  So good we're going again, the staff are delightful and very helpful couldn't have done more for us the food was wonderful and service great 200 hundred letters far to much for a review TripAdvisor please take note.

  2 day stay for wedding anniversary

  Just got back from a 2 night stay here. A lovely old building with lots of character. Nice clean on suite room. Helpful & happy staff with fantastic food both breakfast & evening meals will definitely be returning again.

  Excellent Food

  My husband and I visited on our last night in Devizes, 2 nights after they reopened. We were really impressed by the measures put in place for safety. The meal we had was excellent, superb starters, soup of the day and the salmon The main meals were also delicious, my husband had the red lentil burger, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the honey glazed ham which was full of flavour with perfectly cooked eggs Lovely meal. We will definitely be back

  Dinner and drinks

  We were pleased to see The Bear open for business again after a long period in Lockdown. It was particularly welcoming with Christmas lights, great service and thankfully a return to open lit fires in every room in the bar areas. The meal was great and well presented. Most of all I welcomed the wide range of adult ice-cream options so rare in restaurants of late. Thank you to all the staff concerned for an enjoyable evening in this dreadful 2020!
