  Very Special

  Hard to believe that such comfort available in middle of the island and the alpine region. View from the villas is to die for. Very fairly priced as are scrumptious meals. Worth returning to I believe. A real gem with the facilities and hospitality.

  Great place to stay.

  Our three night stay at the Bealey Hotel was after thirteen days tramping and cycling. We still had Avalanche Peak to do and needed a comfortable base. Moa Lodge exceeded our expectations and gave us all we could want. We valued the peace and tranquility of the stunning location and the comforts of the accommodation. The facilities are high spec and comprehensive; extra touches from quality, fluffy towels to unlimited wifi are very welcome, giving outstanding value for money. We did not eat in the restaurant as I have several dietary requirements so the well-equipped, self-catering kitchen and pleasant dining room were much-appreciated. We had a small problem while staying which Matty resolved speedily and appropriately - the hallmark of good management so full marks to him! Kirsty in the bar and Housekeeper, Michelle were lovely people to deal with. We hope to come back to Arthurs Pass to do more tramping. If so, we will choose to stay again at the Bealey Hotel.

  Genuine and Great Value

  Recently stayed at Villa 1 with the spa pool, for two nights. For the price, the accommodation was great value. The spa was fantastic, with million door views. Ate all our meals at the restaurant which we also couldn't fault. A special highlight for us was the friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Can't remember the last time we stayed at a hotel with such pleasant staff. Already planning our return trip. This is an understated gem.

  Worth a visit!!

  The restaurant food was very good and the service was excellent. Some people were there who drove up from Chch just for dinner. The rooms were very clean and the view of the stars at night was stunning! The owners are very hands-on and they show they care.

  Its had a major refurbishment

  Stayed at the bealey for the 1st time in a few years . Its obviously had a lot of money spent on it recently . The beds are super comfortable with great pillows. Room has heat pump decent bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities The initial contact with the male manager was a little frosty As he appeared more focused on office work rather than welcoming us Even though he was seated in an area designated reception . This was soon righted by his wife who offered free drinks whilst we waited for our room to be readied Id actually give this place a 5 star rating however I gave it a 4 as I believe its overpriced for what it is
