Good detox - Love and joy missing in hospital ambianceThe Beach House Goa is at a stunning location directly at a pristine beach (for Indian standards). You can do Yoga on a platform, where you can see, hear, and taste the sea. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. I also really benefited from the five-day juice detox. Still I would like to share some parts of the experience, which were less pleasurable: - I booked Bed and Breakfast and wanted a long-term stay of 1-2 months. The idea was to choose any treatments when on the ground and balance my time with other activities, such as journaling or indeed lying on the beautiful beach. The Resort contacted my already beforehand (after I had already a confirmed booking) and pressured me to subscribe to one or the other treatments. They said B&B is not even possible at high season. But it was possible to book over hotels.com As a very special gesture, we have for now accepted and booked you in. As mentioned, we normally do not accept accommodation only request during our busy period.. Talks to hotels.com, not to me, And thanks for the favour spending CHF 2'500 upfront. - The place is more of a hospital / rehab clinic than a boutique resort. You just get the impression that something is wrong with you. Leaving the premises is not recommended as it could distract you from the programme you are doing. You feel kind of in a straight jacket. The Ayurvedic massages are done in tents with loud air-conditioner next doors. You dont feel anything of the holiness of Ayurveda. It could have been nice to put on some soft traditional music. - As mentioned, I really benefited from the five-day detox. However, I believe visitors (or patients as they call them on one form you sign in the beginning) should know what colon means: It means that you will roll out a brown air mattress in your own bathroom twice per day, lie on it, and you will perform yourself an infusion of coffee or herbs through the anus into your intestines. - It was clearly not my place, but I still did the detox, and was hoping that some conversation of a partial refund was possible as I left six days earlier. The answer was negative. When I asked who the manager was, the employee stated: I am not at liberty to say. Regarding a possible refund, he said this could be seen as money laundering. (To be fair, it was non-refundable). - On one of the forms I had to sign, it stated that the guest has no right to spread negative information about the resort or its staff in media and in social media.

Wonderful ExperienceI have been to the Beach house twice and have loved the experience. The care of the staff and the incredible thoroughness of the program have made it truly incredible. The access to the Beach and view from the hotel made for lovely sunsets and quiet atmosphere.

You will feel fabulous! You cannot visit The Beach House and not leave feeling fabulous! This was our second visit, so believe us when we say this. This retreat is such a treat. The Beach House is set in lush, beautiful, well-managed gardens, overlooking the magnificent Sernabatim beach. The firm sand allows you to walk, run or cycle along it, watching hundreds of others doing the same. Or simply swim in the ocean, which is carefully watched by numerous life guards. Food, Ayurvedic supplements, and treatments are carefully designed to meet your needs. The food on the Ayurvedic Indian Detox is vegan and delicious to an avowed meat eater like me. The treatments are wonderfully relaxing and delivered professionally by well trained staff. As are all the staff who are friendly and welcoming at all times. What also makes this such an interesting experience is the eclectic mix of fellow guests. People rightly travel from all over the world to stay here, and from many different backgrounds. Go on - give it a try - you will not be disappointed.

i loved it so relaxing staff very friendly and helpful. the outside space needs some repair work and maintenanceI loved it. so relaxing, staff were friendly and helpful I had two massages a day and ate very healthily . the outside could do with some maintenance and it would have been good to have had some sun loungers on the beach. Dont expect to come her and have wild parties and late nights, its all about your health so,no alcohol eating early and going to bed very early , Ive never done this sort of thing before, but I would do it again because we all need to think about ourselves sometimes and this was a great place to do that.

Needs some improvements in doctors attitudesOn the whole I was satisfied with my stay at the Beach House, mine was a Total Body Rebalancing, I enjoyed the morning yoga sessions, the juices and broths in the main were OK, the pea broth was disgusting and for me unpalatable. I felt thoroughly pampered with the treatments and the therapist were lovely. My experience here was actually made by the other guests we shared so much of our personal journeys and experiences, laughed over our twice daily enemas which actually turned out not too hard in end. Unfortunately however over the 7 days 3 ladies in our group fell down the stairs on different occasions and on different staircases. Each of these staircases I would say have potential safety issues. They actually installed metal strips on the treads of the staircase that night, we also heard from an employee that guests were regularly having falls on the stairs. One of the ladies was in a lot of pain after her fall and one of the ayurvedic doctors on site took a look at her and gave her some cream. The lady was still in pain several days later and was due to fly home so thought she ought to get it checked out further, the ayurvedic doctor was very dismissive about this, the lady insisted she would like to have an xray as she was worried she had broken something. After much insisting that they arrange a visit to the hospital for her and send someone with her they reluctantly agreed and the outcome was that the lady actually had 2 fractures. This incident and the doctors attitude towards this lovely lady soured my overall impression of the retreat
