  Fantástico!

  El sitio es estupendo, además el propietario es muy amable, siempre disponible para todo. Prepara todas las mañanas unos zumos buenísimos!! Está todo muy limpio y muy cerca de la playa. Sin duda repetiría.

  Lo mejor de arugam bay

  el zona muy tranquila cerca del centro. habitaci nes confortables y aire acondicionado perfecto. pero lo mejor la amabilidad del dueño te ayuda en todo lo que necesites, estuve enferma unos dias y estaba super atento conmigo, me ayudo en todo. Totalmente reconmendable. Millones de gracias

  Adorable hotel with the most fantastic host

  My girlfriend and I had planned to stay at the Bavarian for around 4 nights, we ended up staying 18! Cannot recommend this hotel enough or Faisal and the wonderful staff!! Despite arriving pretty late, we were greeted by smiling staff and given a complimentary bottle of water and then shown to our room. The hotel itself is a small complex in a street off the main road in Arugam Bay. The rooms are like little individual houses - very quaint. The grounds have plants and flowers growing, a hammock to lie in and clothes racks to hang beach towels after a day by the beach. The location is perfect - 3/5 minute walk to the beach, restaurants all around and a supermarket 1 minute walk away. As it is just off the main street this also makes it quieter at night which is great. The room itself was spotlessly clean, with a comfy bed and nice decor. The bathroom was a good size, with a lovely shower. We opted for an AC room but the rooms were even fairly cool during the day so you could definitely just have a fan. The hotel also offers a push bike day rental, organises day trips (including safaris) and has a clothes washing service for a small fee. At 300rs per kg, this is the cheapest in the street! We had our washing done and it came back promptly and was clean and folded, smelling amazing! Faisal also let us borrow the push bikes free of charge to pop to the post office and the bank! The most wonderful part of our whole stay was Faisal. He is the kindest, most considerate host we have met (and travelling around Sri Lanka we've met a few.) He was always on hand to help us out, and we would be greeted with a massive smile each morning and evening. He was extremely generous, always asking us if we needed anything. As we decided to stay considerably longer he also negotiated a very good price on our room. He was always fair and reasonable. He also helped advise us how to extend our VISA's, gave us tips on restaurants and attractions. It was also another one of the guests birthdays whilst we were there and Faisal helped them get her a cake and threw a small party/dinner for her with banners, food and cake. I honestly cannot express how kind and considerate he is. The hotel offers a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast, which is delicious and reasonably priced! There is also complimentary tea and coffee which we thought was such a lovely touch as we had not come across this in any of the other hotels we have stayed in. We had this every morning and some evenings too! When our friends came to pick us up on the day we left Faisal even gave them tea and coffee and provided complimentary water bottles for us all for our journey. If you are looking for somewhere homely, quiet, clean and comfortable we cannot recommend the Bavarian enough. For backpackers, couples, families - the Bavarian really is suited to everyone.   super friendly, quiet for a good time

  stayed 08/2017 a little off the trouble but only a view steps to the main road and beach. owner is a great guy, very friendly and helpful, ready to serve great breakfast and all tips you need for a good stay in arugam bay. own little bungalow gives you room for privacy, but good chances to contact other guests as well. if I would go again to arugam bay, this would be my stay without checking any others!

  Perfect

  We have stayed at 3 places in A Bay and this was the best! Clean, comfortable rooms with instant hot water and new AC units. Hammocks to relax in. Faizel the owner is extraordinarily helpful and friendly. He makes a good breakfast and an incredible dinner of hummus, falafel and salad. Ask him about it! A few minutes walk to the Main Street and Main Point. Highly recommended.
