  Comfortable stay and great breakfast

  We stayed after encouragement from people who had stayed before and loved the experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had breakfast which was delicious and our hosts were kind and welcoming. We felt comfortable staying with their COVID precautions and would stay again!

  Perfect Getaway

  We just returned from our first stay at a B&B and it exceeded all our expectations! From the comfortable room complete with cozy robes, to coffee on the porch, two course gourmet breakfast prepared by Chef Charles each morning, to the 4-star dinners, and the cheeseboard picnic lunch, we couldnt have asked for anything more. Weve found our quick getaway a little over an hour from home! Thank you Talia, Charles and your most hospitable staff for a wonderful weekend!

  Excellent place to stop for the night

  Wanted to see some civil war history nearby and stumbled into this hidden gem. Room was very comfortable, homey, and well appointed. Innkeeper was very hospitable. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend. Also had a terrific breakfast there.

  Lovely B&B

  We found this B&B on hotels.com, where it had a super-high rating, and the price was lower than most other places in the general area where we wanted to stay. (Budget tip: After finding the listing on hotels.com, we checked out the Babcock House website, and the price was $20 less than booking through hotels.com.) We had a very pleasant stay. Talia (one of the owners) was lovely and very attentive, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfasts (included) were spectacular. The breakfast was a real treat since, in these days of Covid, most hotels that used to include a buffet breakfast aren't doing that anymore, and here we got a fresh-cooked gourmet meal. We definitely recommend staying here!

  Wonderful, historic inn and restaurant

  We loved our stay at the Babcock House. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We ate dinner at the onsite restaurant and our food was delicious. It was so convenient to eat dinner onsite and then go upstairs to our room to relax. Our breakfast the next morning was excellent with great French press coffee. We look forward to returning and visiting a few other museums nearby.
