Located closse to noisy highwayBridie greeted us in a efficient way, there's absolutely no time for smalltalk here. The B&B is spotless clean, and the breakfest good. However the B&B is located very close to a noisy highway, and you'll have to keep your windows closed at night to get any sleep. There's no pubs and restaurants in walking distance, so you'll have to drive to Galway for a pint at night.

AverageWe were in Ireland for 8 days and stayed in 3 B&B's. I would say that the accommodations here were nice. It was a bit chilly in Ireland and the home was very cold (just bring a blanket). Private bath is nice - Shower is very small in the bedroom. The Irish Breakfast is great and very nicely prepared for you. There is also an option of yogurt and cereal if you want a break from the meat breakfast. The main reason we rate this B&B a 3 is we wished our host was more personable. Eating breakfast and you are in a room and the door is shut - no conversations are had and doors are shut very loudly. I would just have liked to have more conversations - learn more about the area, etc. Room was very clean and beds are comfortable.

Cozy home with a lovely, humble hostessIt is right in front of a highway, but it honestly isn't noisy unless you are very sensitive. It doesn't bother me one bit. The home is very cozy and inviting. Not too far from Galway, Cliffs of Moher, or a ferry to go to the Aran Islands. Mrs. Ward is a loving and friendly hostess. She makes you feel right at home.

5 star stay near Galway City CentreI have just returned from a long weekend at the Arches. If you want a hassle free break in Galway this is the place to go. The BnB is beautifully presented with lovely garden areas that are well maintained. The interior is traditional with en suite facilities. The location was great being a 10/15 minute taxi to Galway giving a great balance of the beautiful city and tranquility of the countryside. The breakfast was home cooked and a fantastic way to start the day. The hosts were extremely efficient, nothing was too much or too little trouble and were always seen working hard around the BnB. Bridie was always available to answer enquiries and was a great laugh (when I could understand the accent). It also had the cutest two dogs in the courtyard which is a big hit with me. I will be looking forward to my next stay!
