  Great live Jazz

  As you can tell by my previous reviews The Anniversary House is my favorite place. Once again they have exceeded my expectations. We met some friends there and even though it was not during the Shakespeare Festival (which is always amazing) everything about the visit was exceptional! Clean rooms, amazing breakfast and as always a feeling of home. The Anniversary House is truly the best ever! You can never go wrong here. And a bonus, their Jazz on the Deck is growing and better than ever, cant get enough!

  Delicious breakfast with the feel of home

  My husband and I stay at Anniversary House every year, sometimes twice a year when we attend plays at the Utah Shakespeare Festival. I cannot say enough good things about Nan, the innkeeper. She is always warm and welcoming, and makes a special effort to accommodate our dietary needs and preferences for breakfast. In addition to being a wealth of information about the festival and the plays that are running, she is also an excellent source for local information and activities. You can count on Nan for up-to-date suggestions to dine locally as well. The lodging itself is delightfully decorated with seasonal themes to the rooms. We stay in the Fall Room, which is spacious and tastefully decorated in golds, reds, oranges, and browns. Five windows allow in the natural light, but have shades to block out light for sleeping. Anniversary House is a short walk away from the Shakespeare Theatre, so is very convenient for anyone wishing to attend. We can always count on a good, peaceful night's sleep when we stay there. Breakfasts are consistently delicious and always varied; portions are a reasonable size, filling but not overly so. I never feel guilty about cleaning my plate. Nan has an eye toward healthy, tasty ingredients. A new addition this year is a wonderful hot tub/spa in her peaceful, shady, and beautifully landscaped back yard/garden. The spa has shiatsu massaging jets. I felt very relaxed after my time in it this morning. If you happen to be in Cedar City, consider staying at Anniversary House. It lives up to its slogan, "It's all about you."

  Wonderful surprise

  First time staying at the Anniversary House, and it was a pleasant surprise. Our room was easily accessible, clean and had special touches (a wall mounted make up mirror- Yea). Breakfast was delicious and so much more than you could get in a hotel. In the center of the old district. Nan is a gracious host.

  Great Option for Shakespeare Festival

  I stayed here over Labor Day Weekend to attend the Utah Shakespeare Festival. I had never stayed in a B & B before and didnt know what to expect. Nan, the owner welcomed me graciously, and gave me two keys, one to my room and one to the front door of the house. This was convenient since the evening plays at the festival dont end until around 10:30 or 11:00 pm. You get free reign of the house, which includes a selection of books to read and a dining area with chocolate cake, snacks, and a fridge filled with bottled water and cans of soda. I got an early start most days, so I only stayed for one of the breakfasts, which consisted of coffee cake, eggs, fresh fruit, juice, and an apricot bread pudding so good Ill be dreaming about it for years to come. The house is located on a quiet, tree-lined residential street within a short walking distance of the theater venues for the festival, as well as several places to eat. By the way, if you do stay here, make sure to eat at Centro Pizzeria for some truly awesome wood fired pizza. As for the room itself, I stayed in the Spring Room, which is adjacent to the breakfast area. The room is somewhat small but of adequate size for a solo traveler. It was clean and featured antique style furnishings and decorative pillows with yellow floral patterns, a refreshing change of pace from the generic decor of the chain hotels where I often stay when traveling. The bed was very comfortable so I had no problem getting a good nights sleep. I would definitely stay here again. Not only is it convenient to the Shakespeare Festival, but youre also within driving distance to Cedar Breaks, Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks, Kodachrome Basin, and Lake Powell. The Anniversary House also has the added advantage of being pretty reasonably priced compared with some other bed and breakfasts. Give it a try. Its way better than staying at some bland motel.

  Anniversary House Cedar City

  We had a wonderful time staying here. The room was large and comfortable and the food was delicious. Nan was very helpful and accommodating and helped make our stay relaxing. Much better than a hotel. We would definitely recommend a stay here if you're in Cedar City. We will be back if we're ever staying in the area again.
