  Am surprised to hear all these negative comments about this homely and conducive hotel. We stayed there for a week and we could not fault it. It feels just like home; a relaxed atmosphere. John is kind and very approachable. All I can say is guests take his leniency for granted. He is very good with children and would do anything to ensure you get the best out of your stay! To be honest, people just use the internet just to spite others. Of course there is no way you can please everyone! People are just "fussy" nothing pleases them! I 've been in this hotel several times because we like it there. I 've seen John speak to guests and staff on different occasions and you could not fault him. He even goes out of his way to give presents to the children! He is just phenomenal! Nice man. He has recently refurbished the rooms, tampolen for kids to play on and the pictures on trip adviser is completely different. You only need to see it for yourself! You will like it there! Good staff, nice presented meals and welcoming atmosphere.

  Very neat and presentable for a budget hotel

  Very warm welcome and friendly staff! You cannot ask for more!!! Suited very well for a family holiday!! Much grateful. Closer to all major amenities and about 5 minutes walk to the beach, shops and sandown pier.

  Family run hotel taking Covid precautions seriously

  So pleased to see this hotel re open for service. Such a great location and warm welcome. THeres plenty of information regarding social distancing, hygiene rules and sanitiser available at every entry point. Table service significantly reduced but a much improved 2 sitting breakfast service available to minimise the number of covers in the dining hall. Customers can benefit from the huge terrace area and large garden so theres plenty of room to relax, sunbath and social distance.

  Not bad at all for a budget hotel

  This was a last minute booking as the previous hotel was beyond bad. Room was clean, John the owner was very hospitable. Breakfast again was basic but theyre not charging a fortune for the room so Ive got nothing really to complain about. All round, was a pleasant stay, thank you

  Family week away

  Great location walking distance to sandown beach and pier. However building and rooms very old fashioned they need recordation. Room was ok smelt like a toilet bathroom was smelling and bath tub broken around the sides. Stains on the ceiling and spiders most places. Double bed was two singles put together which was very uncomfortable. Breakfast nice and fast to arrive. For the price I was expecting something a little more.
