  You get what you pay for

  Not a very nice motel to stay in, some of the other guests loud and aggressive at times making stay seem unsafe. Room was not very clean cobwebs in multiple locations and blankets in cupboard soaked in water. Maintenance seems wanting in many areas checked in to no towels in rooms had to ask for them and told they are doing washing now and we would get them later!!! From a tourist point of view I wouldnt stay in the motel or the area of Youngstown.

  Booking Cancelled because of COVID

  Very unreasonable! We had to cancel because of boarder closure, they were not flexible or understanding and refused to refund fee. Do not book with these people they do not care about other people. All other places refunded the fees Abel Tasman Motor Inn refused. They would not even issue a credit as we plan to travel in the future. STEER CLEAR!!

  Worst room

  1 star. We must have been given the worst room (42) judging by all the 'positive' reviews. The light above kitchen table, main light in bedroom with 2 single beds, and the light above couch were not working. Also one light was missing completely from the range hood. There was no dish cloth/ scrubber/ brush or detergent to wash the dishes. We had to use paper towels and salt. No hand towel or bathmat in bathroom. No toilet paper and the toilet roll holder was broken. No extra blankets - had to asked at reception. Cutlery all dirty. Microwave disgusting and greasy. The rooms were dirty, paint peeling, dusty, cobwebs in the corners. The floors were dirty all around the bedside tables. Valances on the beds were had marks all over them, the double bed sheets were ripped, and the pillows were absolutely terrible. Like cut up pieces of foam.

  No shower head and no response from staff

  Don't let them put you in room 14. No shower head at all and therefore no shower option. I've sjnce tried to contact reception twice. They have simply ignored me. So disappointing Also no kettle. So had to heat eater for coffee in microwave

  Worst place we've ever had the misfortune to stay in!!!

  This would have to be the dirtiest place we've ever stayed in! The mould and dirt on the bathroom window ledge was so bad (see photo). How it could be left like that is beyond me! One of the towels had holes in it and was tattered. The double bed had a bow in it. The carpet was stained and had shifted, so it was bunched up in one spot. The glass in the mirror was badly cracked. There were small brown marks on toilet wall. Obviously they do not wipe and surfaces over. The ceiling fan above the bed was thick with dust. The light/fan in the shower was black with mould and dust.... it was worse than it appears in the photos. So gross that I refused to use the shower!!! The cutlery, glasses and coffee cups were filthy and there were no provisions for washing them up: no dishwashing liquid or tea towel. The beds do not have mattress or pillow protectors. (The pillows were old cheap polyester ones that were out of shape). And on the morning we were leaving, I discovered the doona had yellow stains... bodily fluid? It was disgusting beyond words and looked like it hadn't even been laundered! Who knows when or how often they bother! No wonder I wasn't asked if we enjoyed our stay etc when we checked out!!!! Very poor! I'd give them zero stars if I could!
