  for an asian... its good,for a westerner....might not be up to expectations!

  was a bit sceptical about booking this place as there were no reviews available on tripadvisor.as my family (6pax total) and i needed a villa in chonburi,this checked all our boxes,i.e. 3R/2B,pool,near beach (400m away),bbq facility and reasonable rate (abt US$ 125/night).googlemaps with streetview did help a bit LOCATION: TCR is located about a 1hr drive south-east of bangkok and about 20minutes from bangsaen beach.it has a condo block (beachfront) as well as a villa complex .it does not appear on waze nor does it appear on IOS googlemaps.closest place found was SAI TAN resort (this is just 100m away from TCR) which was on the beach but they didnt have any 3-room villas and was fully booked as it is quite popular. we booked via agoda as usual and all we had to do was to pass the booking slip to the reception and she handed us our key.no questions asked!i had communicated with TCR via their fb page and maybe that helped. VILLA: 3 large bedrooms with a king-sized bed each,1 bedroom with ensuite bathroom.large hall (with 2 aircons!),dining table and a little kitchen,fully equipped with all the utensils.....fridge,heat-induction cooker and a microwave.villa was very clean and appeared to be fairly new.bathrooms were the asian kind,i.e.floors are meant to get wet!pretty basic but liveable! beds/pillows were reasonably comfortable and everything worked!lots of tv channels but ALL in thai!! GROUNDS: our villa,C7 was about 100m from the pool which was great.there are villas at the pool area but might not be a good idea with all the noise.there's a gazebo and even a hammock in the garden in front of the villas and that was well kept and clean.there is ample free car-parking right at the back of the villa. no security/lifeguard around but like most of thailand,seemed pretty safe pool was also decent (there was a another larger pool adjacent to it but it was under repair/renovation)... we requested for a bbq grill and a portable one was delivered to us pretty fast! we brought our own charcoal and food.u can get fresh and cheap seafood from bangsaen market about 15 minutes away (just waze for MARKET) we had an amazing bbq by the gazebo and under clear skies.about 4 of the maybe 16 villas were occupied so it was pretty quiet and peaceful the grounds were definitely better than what the fb pictures tell you check-out was as fast and easy as check-in! just handed back our key and we were off! overall,TCR turned out better than expected!

  beautiful garden - but poor interior of the cabanas

  The Ressort outside is beautiful , nice garden and clean great pool! But do go inside the houses. there are no furnitures in the houses. Sparta is comfortable compared with the interior. The cheapest rooms have no Terrasse and a view against a wall. No breakfast facilities in the Ressort.

  Beautiful setting but Rooms need improvement

  We recently attended a friend's wedding at this resort (he'd booked the entire place) and were not quite expecting the layout/setting to be that great! The property is huge with lush green lawns and a great pool. The villas are big (3 Bed; 2 bathrooms) with proper living rooms and kitchenette. However, despite the full-effort cleaning, the villas have a weird smell. And not to forget, thousand of BIG mosquitoes! Considering it was a wedding venue, we didn't quite experience the 'service' we would have in case a few individual were staying but the management was considerate enough to lend us small stuff like tea bags/sugar/ iron and ironing board etc. We were told its a relatively new property and hence we hope that in the due course of time they improve their standards.
