TH Kelana JayaThis hotel was primarily intended for the benefit of Malaysian Pilgrims visiting the Holy Cities of Mekah and Medina. Pilgrims would arrive from all over Malaysia to stay here for a couple of days before boarding the plane to the 2 cities. TH actuall means Tabung Haji. We only knew this when we were there. Initially it was only opened to the Muslim public during off-Peak Haj season but now being a Hotel its opened to everyone. The rooms are decent and clean its like any other hotel from the inside. And because it caters to Muslim pilgrims during the Haj season, there is an attached mosque to cater to their religious obligations . If you dont mind listening to the Azan (prayer calls) five times a day like I did then this is a good hotel to stay. Praying in this mosque in the morning reminds me of praying in the grand mosque in Mecca. Breakfast was simple, I chose alacarte which starts at around RM6 including coffee. Only shortcomning was it was located nside housing estate but this could be overcome using GPS. My GPS failed, so I have no choice but to use local transport like Taxi and LRT to commute to KL. I enjoyed my stay..

TH Kelana JayaBeing a guest of the TH Hotel Kelana Jaya, I wrote this review to give my overall feedback on my 3 days, 2 nights stay (11 April - 13 April 2014) at the TH hotel Kelana Jaya. The 3 rooms booked for my family's stay were the "Supreme" rooms which included 2 single beds, one toilet, one kitchen cabinet and one TV on a long table. 1. Allow me to highlight the fact that during the course of my stay, water supply to the entire hotel was cut off entirely. Having no clean water at all, my family faced extreme difficulty trying to bathe and keep clean. This problem was greatly exacerbated by the fact that on the 12th and 13th of April, my whole family of 10 people needed to attend a wedding ceremony. Several family members attended the wedding ceremony unclean and unkempt, which we felt was very disrespectful to the bride, groom and the host. 1.1 As there is no water in the hotel rooms, the toilets could not be flushed. This resulted in pungent smells being emanated from the rooms. Dishes and articles could not be washed, and request for extra towels to accommodate every family member were not fulfilled by the hotel staff. 1.2 For TH Hotel to not have a contingency plan, such as water rations, for this type of situations is appalling. It is also unacceptable for the hotel staff to be telling us to pay extra money for the water that we should have gotten given that we have already paid the hotel's accommodation fees. 2. The next issue is the lack of Wi-Fi in the hotel rooms. There is no Wi-Fi access in the hotel rooms despite the hotel posters and booklets advertising so. Connection to the "LTH-Hotspot" and "TAHA-WiFi" servers would always end up being unsuccessful, with messages such as 'Authentication problems' being reported on devices. As a result, I could not access the internet to communicate with my contacts or do my business at all. 3. The next issue is the facilities in the hotel room itself. The air-conditioners in all of the hotel rooms leak water from time to time, resulting in the carpeted floor at the side of the bed being extremely wet. The standing lamp in one of the room did not work, as it did not light up despite being plugged into the power socket. 4. The next issue is the absence of food in TH Hotel. The Kelana lounge did not serve breakfast, lunch or dinner at all during the course of my stay. In fact, no food was served at all. When approached about this matter, the hotel staff working at the Kelana Lounge informed us that due to the water being cut off, the dishes could not be washed and as such, the food could not be served. This reasoning is very disturbing, as this would indicate that TH Hotel has no snacks, packed foods or food rations prepared at all, and any food served there must be on a plate. I hope that the TH Hotel would take this feedback into consideration very seriously. It is demeaning to have a hotel experience of this kind, especially when every one of my family members had looked forward to having a nice holiday trip in Malaysia. I hope that with this feedback, TH Hotel would rectify all the problems listed above and have proper backup plans in place, in case another situation like this happens in the future.

Best budget hotel at townLocated at petaling jaya near all shopping complex ikea, one utama and the curve. Little noise surrounding. Attached with mosque. Room not soundproof . Old furniture but clean interior. Comfort bed and pillow . Air conditioner working good. Good water pressure with hot shower. Channels very basic. Large parking space. Breakfast so basic with fried rice, bread and coffee. Overall acceptable for the price. Don't forget to show government ID to get discount rate

Old hotel, manned by lone rangerStayed at TH Hotel Kelana Jaya for one night in January 2016. It's an old hotel so everything was run down. We arrived late, but had called earlier to request an extra bed. But upon checking in and going to our room, the extra bed was not there. We then called reception/housekeeping for the extra bed. Nothing happened for 30 minutes so went down to the reception. Apparently only one guy was around. There were rows of extra bed in the hallway on our floor, and he told me to take any one of it. We asked for the bedsheet, pillow and pillowcase. He then went around looking for it. He came back 20 minutes later, all sweaty from his treasure hunt quest trying to find these items. Apparently there's no other staff. Reception will thus be un-manned at that time. I felt sorry for the guy - lone ranger took care of reception, house keeping etc. We stayed at TH Hotel because we attended a wedding reception the next day at the hotel. It was convenient in that sense, but next time I'll find some other hotel with a little more decent service.

Cheap, clean & EasygoingIt was early of March 2017. We had to travel south from the northern states of Malaysia to Negri Sembilan. As i was not having too much strength to stay awake for the 6 hrs trip; we decided to stop by Kelana Jaya. There is a Tabung Haji's own hotel. Previously (maybe still) was used by the Hajj pilgrimage before they took off to Jeddah. The place was neat. A mosque is in the compound. The food sold were nice too. Not that expensive. We choose the family room. 3 single beds. The rate? Rm160. Includes breakfast for two. Free flow of Nescafe/Teh tarik. Bla bla bla.. Need we say more? The is Paradigm Mall just 6 minutes drive away. Conclusions: if you don't bother about style or concepts, just a quiet place; there you have it. Hospitality? Off cause.
