Budget Saver Accommodation...Right opposite Mainz Haupthbanhof,a five minutes on foot will take you to the hotel.Rooms are really small,so as bathroom ABD toilet. But considering the price level of the hotel in its area,it i still well worth to stay at this hotel.

very basic ( not recommended for family)We booked this via booking.com simply because we didnt have a lot of options and choices, and needed something for 1 night. Unfortunately, it was a big mistake which we regretted after we got there. We booked two rooms and had 1 toddler and an infant with us. Similar to the other reviews, the location is really the only positive thing about this place. It is bang opposite the train station, and is very central to the downtown area. But the rooms are very small and the bathrooms are tiny. The quality of the mattress ( 2 singles) was horrible ( severe back ache after just 1 night). Considering the price we paid, which was about 200 plus for the 2 rooms for 1 night, I still think that it did not justify that kind of price for what we got. There was basically just 1 person running the entire show. He had a problem with us taking the stroller, so the infant could sleep inside the stroller. After going back and forth he finally agreed. He was asking us for 5 euros to park the car on the street ( curb side, isnt that supposed to be public parking?) The following morning at breakfast, every table had boiled eggs and when we got there there ( around 8:45am) was only 1 egg left, when we asked him to get us 3 more, he said "finished". This isnt even the worst thing. When we asked for 2 tall glasses of really hot water to fill our flasks (to make baby food later during the day), he charged us 5 euros for that. We had two rooms, and we got only one wifi pwd, when we asked him for another one, he wanted to charge us 6 Euros for a 6 hours session, we completely lost it at that point, and asked him for an explanation and justification, since we were paying for 2 rooms. Clearly this was day light robbery and we were being ripped off. He knew we were international tourists and clearly took advantage of our lack of speaking any German. I would not recommend this to anyone thinking about this place if you are with a family. This is a kind of place for backpackers and solo travelers who don't mind roughing it out.

Good location charming hostI was sceptical at first, looked a bit dodgy and cheap with 1950s bathroom tiles. The man was grumpy that night. The rooms are old, but very clean, bedding was very good (clean and extra protection) Breakfast was AMAZING, exactly was I hoping for in Germany. He was much friendlier, made coffee, great speak. Got a handshake when left. Very good!

Perfect location, but...When you are in a hurry, you have informed the hotel about your arrival, and still no one is waiting for you, the hotel has a problem. Especially if this happens twice during a short stay. My theory is that the hotel is understaffed. It is as simple as that. This is of course not acceptable if you are traveling in business. The room, breakfast and so forth is ok for the price level, but if you cant trust a hotel to have a staff running the reception...
