Great location for the lakeThe hotel is in a great location - a very short walk to the lake, and 5 minutes' from the nearest supermarket and the bus station. The ferry terminal is about 10 minutes' walk from Terminus. Get a copy of both bus & ferry timetables so you can plan your journeys. The ferries are more expensive than the buses, but the ferries run on time, and the scenery is beautiful. There are also plenty of bars & restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. The hotel staff work extremely hard to keep the rooms and public areas exceptionally clean. The rooms are quite large and very comfortable, if the decorations are a little dated. (Although there is free wi-fi, there are few electric sockets in the room, so be prepared to take it in turns to charge up phones etc, if you're sharing a room!) Other reviews have mentioned being charged for tea/coffee in the room. We took our teabags with us, then bought milk from the supermarket, which we could keep in the fridge. The breakfast food is delicious. Always a good selection of fruit, plus cereals, breads, cakes, alongside cold meats & cheeses, plus bacon, scrambled and boiled eggs. And as much tea, coffee, fruit juice and water as you want! The breakfast room is very pleasant, and there is extra seating outside. The downside to the location is that the rooms at the back of the hotel look onto the main road through Garda, which at peak times, and at weekends, is extremely busy and noisy - particularly the motorbikes.

First class hotel and positionEnjoyed our stay ,breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake was a bonus, the continental food is very enjoyable and fresh. Home cooked bread or certainly tasted it. If you need bacon beans scrambled eggs or boiled its there. The hotel is spotless and clean ,our bathroom was very large and plenty of hot water, central for the town flat for people with walking problems. We left in the late afternoon and had the benefit of a shower room with toiletries and towels due to the heat was needed. Will definitely stay again the staff and owners made our holiday a big thank you to them.

Visit June 2019Garda and the lake is a brilliant place to visit unfortunately it cannot be said the same about the hotel. The rooms had not been decorated in about 20 years looking dowdy and run down. The owners had spent money on the stairs, doors to the rooms and the corridors but once in the rooms it was like a different hotel. The furniture looked as old as the wallpaper, the bathroom had chipped tiles and decor looked extremely worn out. One couple we spoke to had paper hanging off the walls. There were 3 ladies who ran the hotel, 2 of these struggled to give you a smile and had no idea about customer service. The hotel was also close to the main road so the noise was extremely loud. There is nothing great to say about this hotel, fortunately Garda and the lake made up for it.

Lovely family run hotelThe hotel was perfectly located on the egde of Lake Garda. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean. Our room was very spacious and had everything we needed including a fridge. Breakfasts were very good (buffet style) and could be taken on the terrace with stunning views of the lake, which was a lovely start to each day of our holiday. Road traffic noise etc was pretty low, the only loud noise was the church bells which rang every morning at 7am. However this just became a bit of a joke with us and once we got over the initial shock we didn't really mind. We loved Lake Garda and visited some beautiful places, The walk along the lake path from Garda to Bardelino and then on to Lizese was beautiful. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Good hotel, fabulous location!Lots of plusses about this hotel where we've stayed many times now. Unbeatable location right on the lake front and good breakfasts. The family who run it are nice once you get to know them and the staff in general are good. Our room had a balcony overlooking the lake with a dual aspect view. The hotel is a little tired though and our room had old wooden window frames which shielded none of the very busy traffic noise and kept us awake and the bathroom is very dated. The pluses outweigh the minuses though. Thanks for helping to give us a great holiday!
