Habitaciones enanas, antiguas y ruidoso.

Friendly and accommodating staffWe used Hotel Terminus for business May through August 2016. We found the staff to be warm and helpful, just what you need when you're away from home over a prolonged period of time. The rooms are very modest but clean and ideal when only using room for resting your head. The restaurant serves excellent French cuisine and is highly recommended. The hotel is situated perfectly for those who wish to use public transport, 30 seconds from both the train station and tram stop. A tram or short walk to the main square in the town is recommended. There you will find some lovely shops and restaurants but more importantly beautiful architecture and if you're lucky; see a live show on the spectacular band stand. The hotel rates are reasonable so ideal for and extended stay. Lyon is only 45mins train journey allowing you to easily take in a second city easily. In summary, hotel Terminus is basic but functional and what it lacks in room decor the staff make up for in their level of service. It's location and room rates are fantastic.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed atThis is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Staff in reception only speaks French to start with. And the rooms, I just don't know what to say. I stayed in a room called Superior Deluxe or something like that, and if this room was deluxe, I wonder what a standard room would be like. The room smelled of smoke, although I was told it was a non-smoking room. Stains everywhere, carpet on floor very dirty. Dust everywhere and the bed sheets were stained. Gross to say the least. The bathroom was a joke. Tiles on the wall had been kicked in and the shower itself means you have to crawl into a small opening in the wall(!). Soap was apparently a free product from a Bulgarian hotel magazine, not even something the hotel seem to have bought themself. Breakfast means a yoghurt and a croissant basically. I had to stay there for two nights and it was a complete nightmare. Wanted to leave France as soon as possible. This hotel really needs to shape up and check the cleaning of the rooms as well as the overall standard of the rooms. My advise: Stay far away from this hotel!

Variable hotel, nice staff.I stayed here by chance one night whilst motorcycling across France. The room I had seemed recently decorated, modern and clean. It faced the street but wasn't too noisy. The receptionist was extremely helpful, directing me to the off-street parking in a locked enclosure about a block away and giving advice on eating. As it turned out I ate in-house and it wasn't bad, but a tad more expensive than I'd normally want to pay when I'm just tired and hungry. It was a noisy meal though, as there was a party of teenagers celebrating something. This was a problem once I'd gone to bed, some of those teenagers were staying in rooms in my corridor and were running from room to room knocking and stage-whispering (shouting). When I woke up for the 3rd time and realised it wasn't going to stop, I discovered I couldn't phone reception to complain because there was no directory or guest guide, and the usual single numbers didn't do it. Finally I got up furious and naked, leant out the door and shouted at the spotty prat in the corridor...problem solved. The hotel DID give me a massive discount when I mentioned it the next day.

Great staffstayed here 2 nights didnt have breakfast mc donalds side of train station and a few lovely petisseries 5 minutes walk up the road, this hotel is well positioned for the train station which will link you to the main lines TVG and Eurostar. The staff was great very helpfull pointing us in the right directions for various places bars and cafes check in was swift so was checking out so they played their part in all contact we had with them evan though we got there very late and was all closed up and soe going home. the rooms are slightly outdated and a little drab with dark colours etc but for a few nights its more than fine and at the right price too,end Febuary we stayed and the front of the hotel fro the station right up the road into town is being repaved so straight out side of hotel is all up and like a building site but they have made access to and from the hotel as best they can so although sightly accessable this will take monthes to complete thrugh to the town centre but a few weeks would think be away from the hotel although the machines are parked over from hotel in compound, also hotel being built there too, but after saying that didnt bother us that much we was out most of time and at night the workers had gone but work started about 8am and you culd here them although not too loud.but if you want a lie in pick another hotel.other than that a cheap hotel at the moment probably because of the works so cant complain to much the price made us book it.
