  Lovely rooms, nice Hall, pretty good for a 1-2 nights stay

  We stayed at the Hotel Salus at the end of January. We had a suite on the 1st floor, room was nice, clean, spacious and well kept. Shame though cause the balcony overlooks the garbage containers and right in front of us were the balconies of the other Hotel, the balcony is very small and no light comes through so you have to keep the lights on all day, terrible view for a suite. Junior Suites are a little bit smaller but have 2 balconies and lots of light. The Public spaces (hallway) are well kept and lovely especially for a 3 star hotel. Food was not always exceptional, breakfast was rather dreary. Swimming pool lovely but don't go there on a weekend, too many people, the place is open to the public and the Hotel is too small to accommodate such a crowd. Front desk, very helpful staff, SPA a little bit disorganized but the staff was good and professional. If you plan to stay there do ask for a room in the new wing as they are all new and lovely. Location was perfect as it is in the center of Alba, but if you don't want to swim around other houses then this is not the hotel for you.

  we liked Salus!

  We stayed at Salus hotel for a short weekend with our little daughter of 4 months and we liked very much this "little" hotel (little because in Abano there are a lot of big hotel, and Salus is not too big. Swimming pool : not big as in other hotel ,but the indoor pool is nice and perfect to stay with a little baby. The relax area is well equipped, and clean. Sauna and steam bath are good, in my opinion the position (in front of pool) is not good because I prefer a corner with more privacy. Rooms: confortable and with enough space Restaurant: it was good, with nice menu (in Abano sometimes we found bad food) Service: receptionist and all the people were very good. Special thanks to the hotel director for his courtesy. Price: good balance between price and services, it's not cheap compared to similar hotel in Austria or Slovenia, but in Veneto region we think it's interesting Salus.   Lovely Friendly Hotel

  This hotel is ideally situated just off the beginning of the main pedestrian area. Abano Terme is a spa town and the hotel has a wide range of treatments available as well as an indoor and outdoor pool. Both the town and this hotel are very popular with Italian and German visitors. In the hotel some of the staff speak English. However they are all without exception extremely helpful and friendly- nothing was too much trouble. My room was fine, well equipped with a fridge but English guests should note there is no kettle. The food was excellent with a wide buffet choice and two/three cooked courses - all served in a large airy dinning room. If there is anything you don't like it was no problem to have for example an omelette. Breakfast is taken on the first floor overlooking the main restaurant and it can get a bit crowded at peak times. On Monday nights there is a gala dinner with a pianist and drinks beforehand. It is easy to visit nearby attractions. There is a regular bus service to Padova which takes about 35 minutes and there are good train services to Venice, Vicenza, Verona. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and have no hesitation in recommending the Salus.
