    Brilliant!

We stayed at the Internazionale for five nights on our recent trip to see Andrea Bocelli in concert in Marostica (what a night). A modern hotel within easy walking distance of the town and some lovely restaurants. Very clean (slow and small lifts) with a good swimming pool and an adequate rather than top end restaurant.

    Bad

Old hotel. Air temperature in the room not working. Toilet flush stucked on during the night making a lot of noise. Very old structure, both hotel and pools/sauna. Quite crowded (in the afteroon we could not find a free seat where to leave our towels. Only positive aspect that room was clean.

    Nice get away to relax

You know every place has its advantages and disadvantages. Let's start with the advantages...this place is grand. As soon as you walk into the lobby, you see the ceiling covered with crystal chandeliers. There is a grand piano, and a large lobby which is absolutely beautiful to see. The terme pools are also perfect to relax in. The place has an indoor and outdoor pool and the temperature is just right. It was nice to see the pool is checked for chemicals constantly and the decks are cleaned and disinfected daily. My wife and I had breakfast included in our package and decided to stay for dinner. The dinner was more than what we expected. Friendly staff, food is delicious and the menu changes daily. Now for some disadvantages....the rooms were old but large and in need of updating. The internet was intermittent at best in our room, and the smoke detectors were missing as well. We did have a balcony that overlooked the city. Breakfast was a buffet but the same things every morning. We wish there were different hot dishes but there were not. Despite these disadvantages, my wife and I will return for future stays. You should try it too.

    enjoyable stay

We stayed in the internazionale over the Easter period 2017 with 5 other friends. We don't normally stay in hotels, preferring self catering accommodation or if we do it is usually only B & B only as we like to sample different restaurants every night but on this occasion we opted for half board. Dinner is at 8pm so if you go out for the day then its easy to get back in time. The hotel is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The rooms are very spacious and again clean and serviced every day. The beds are very firm but not uncomfortable. We had a shower over the bath but there was no shower curtain so you had to be very careful not to soak the vanity sink unit and floor when showering but the water pressure was fine and there was plenty of hot water. We even had baths on a few occasions. For the ladies that might read this, the hair dryer is good but slightly different to what we would be used to. The end of the dryer is flat and oblong shaped as opposed the the normal hairdryer, but once you get used to the angle on the brush it works very well and quickly. The only thing is that it does get hot on the handle and the pipe so if you have children take care if they use it themselves. Our room was on the 6th floor and at the back of the hotel facing very pretty residential area and the mountains in the distance. The only problem was that there is no double glazing in the windows and there were 2 very noisy dogs in a yard of the nearest house, they barked at every one that passed the house regardless of what the time was and also at 6 am the bins are emptied and the deliveries arrive early too. It can get a little noisy, If you have a choice then ask for a pool facing room it will be a lot quieter. On saying that it was a little annoying but we managed to go back to sleep one it was all over. There is also a free safe in your room. The food is excellent and varied for breakfast and dinner and very healthy. There are 4 courses at dinner and different every day the Breakfast is a buffet but again plenty of verity to choose from .The restaurant staff are also very good and attentive nothing is too much trouble. The wine is not included in the cost of the half board and you will be charged extra at the end of your stay. The bar staff are very friendly and you always get free nibbles with every drink. As for the 2 pools I have never got into a pool that is so warm. Its like stepping into a bath and that's not an exaggeration. This was fine in April but I imagine if you were there at the height of summer and needed to cool down it would not be so good. There are many Jacuzzi's in the outside and inside pool. The inside ones have different jets and massage different areas of your body You are only supposed to spend 5 minuets in each one and then let someone else have a go but there are a few people who hog them, you just have to be firm and ask them to move. You will not be allowed to swim without a swimming cap. You will be able to buy one in the local shops for about 1.50 euros but if you have one make sure you pack it. if you want pool towels they are 4 euros each. As we were only there for 5 days we just dried off the one towel and used them every day. You may also need to take a toweling road to get to and from your room to poolside. you can hire them for the week but its 12 euroes The town its self is very pretty but the trading hours are not as in the UK. all shops close at 1pm and reopen at 4 ish. I guess that is the Italian way even some of the cafe's close at the same time. Not sure how the restaurants are as we were half board and only ate in the hotel. but the clothes are quite expensive but all good quality and very different. All in all this is a great hotel and would recommend it but on saying that I think the back of the hotel would benefit from double glazing to shut out early morning noise but I guess knowing the size of the hotel that would be a bit of a tall order.

    Very good

Originally booked for just overnight but decided to stay another day for the relaxation. Hotel has a huge lobby with comfortable furniture, high ceilings, chandeliers and marble everywhere. Room was large for European standards with king sized bed and lots of closet space. We loved the balcony where we could sit and enjoy a bottle of wine. Bathroom appeared to be upgraded and all marble and a towel warmer. Elevators are very small. There are two large pools, one outside and the other inside with a canal connecting them. Lots of lounges and poolside tables. Breakfast was quite a nice buffet with mostly sweets and scrambled eggs and bacon. Really much the same as US chains but with tablecloths. Could be improved with addition of an omelet chef. Dinner was ok. Table service for three courses and buffet for salad and dessert. Not gourmet but good value at 20 each without wine. Wine list was OK with offerings from 15 to 45. Overall experience was reminiscent of a cruise ship but better value. If we are in the area again we would return.
