Good value in summer for a 4* hotelThis hotel is set in the small quiet thermal spa town of Abano Terme with some shops and other hotels around it.I understand that its main clientele are people coming to use the healing properties of the thermal water notably mud treatments for conditions such as arthritis. These clients generally do not come in the summer months which means that the hotel is relatively quiet and you can get a good deal for the 4* facilities. We paid 150 euros a night for 2 people in July in a standard double with breakfast and added on an evening meal for 2 for just 15 euros a night. A total cost therefore for 2 people of 165 euros a night for half board. The public areas of the hotel are very airy with high ceilings and the furnishings are elegant and the hotel looks and feel cared for. The standard double was a nice size and also tastefully furnished. There was a small sitting area with two armchairs and a table and also a small balcony with furniture although our view was not particularly interesting. The bathroom was OK in size and was clean and everything worked well. I would say that for the discerning, the bathroom was a little dated for a 4 *hotel. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. On our first night we arrived too late for dinner but by calling ahead we were able to have a cold supper of fruit cold meats etc left in our room in place of our meal. Breakfast is served in a lovely room on the first floor and you can either eat inside or outside on a terrace area overlooking the front gardens which was beautiful. There is a selection of fruit, pastries, breads, cold meats cheeses yoghurts etc which we found to be good. If you prefer a cooked breakfast you may be disappointed as there was only two or three items: eggs and sausages/bacon. Dinner is served only from 7.30 to 8.30 in a lovely large elegant dining room with high ceilings. There is a light starter which you dont choose and then there are two main courses. The first is generally pasta, risotto and the second is meat/fish with potatoes/ vegetables. There is a choice of about three dishes for the main courses. There are also a few choices for dessert and fresh fruit salad/ fruit / ice cream available. I would recommend arriving for dinner at 7.30 as the there is a definite rhythm to the service with the waiters going around with the different courses on trolleys and so if you arrive later you may feel rushed through your meal as things seem to wind up in the restaurant by 9. We ate in the restaurant three nights. On the first evening I was not particularly impressed as some food was a little cold and my fish was a little dry. On the other two nights though everything was perfect hot and tasty so not sure why that was. At 7.5 euros a night per person this was very good value for money. It needs to be booked at the same time as the room though. The hotel kindly accommodated a friend joining us for dinner but this cost 27 euros. We ordered a bottle of wine and water each night but were never asked to sign for it like some tables were and it didnt seem to appear on our extras bill so wondering if some drink is included with half board but this would need to be confirmed. All the staff that we came across were professional, very pleasant and helpful. Reception staff were extremely good helping us with our days out, lending maps, printing out timetables and making suggestions. The leisure facilities were lovely. A robe and slippers are provided in the room. There are two pools. The larger one which also has an inside area is as warm as a bath as it is sourced from thermal water and is cooled down. There are jacuzzi areas in the pools as well as overhead water jets Another small pool is a little cooler but still pretty warm. There are plenty of areas to sit or lie both inside and out and there is a poolside bar. There is a quiet salt room with about 6 beds. Not sure how this works but I found it extremely relaxing. The sauna, steam room, rain shower etc were all very pleasant. The whole leisure area is clean and tidy. We did not use the spa for any treatments. I would highly recommend this hotel especially if you can get a good deal in the summer months including dinner. It is not a budget stay obviously but is a good deal for the standard of hotel and facilities

Special thanks from Armina / Armenia/First of all I would like to express my gratitude towards the excellent service from the reception and restaurant staff. There are very special thanks to Claudio and Francesco, who welcomed us in a very high level, very friendly, helpful and polite. Secondly special thanks to restaurant personnel, especially: Marino, Stefano, Silvana and all others where we had our breakfast, lunch and dinner, they made us feel welcome, with good sense of humor, always smiling, customer service-oriented individuals, always accompanying us, taking orders, and serving food and beverages very fast and very friendly. All staff members proved themselves as trustworthy, flexible, careful and very diligent. Thirdly special thanks to Paola, Camilla and all the others. All treatments were fantastic. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, every time when we needed help they were there to help us any time. We liked almost everything there. Great place to stay and when we return we will for sure be staying there again. Overall wonderful experience!!! The staff were AMAZING!!!!! Thank you very much for your care and support. Just a dreamFor my second stay, both in june, I cant but recommend this thermal venue. Starting with the fango treatments in the morning, breakfast buffet galore overlooking the greenery of the parc yard, tubs and leasurly use of all varying waterways... and above all the lunch and dinner service, of which my preference remains the tray-on-wheels choice of entrees, one better than the other; place it right between the buffet of cold cuts & salads, followed by a reasonable & tasty main meal plate, and you too will be battling to fit the desert - none of which can be missed! All in all? Returning for sure to meet and greet the friendly staff, ready for a joke or a hearty chat any time. Many thanks for the great break.

Friday night treatmentNice hotel with atmposhere of the golden ages of thermalism. One thing to remember that outdoor and indoor swimming pools are closed at 19:30. And if you would like to reserve the treatment I think its good to arrive day before weekend because of needed doctor visit to be able to use mud treatment. Hotel is mainly visited by retired italians. Warm water outside and inside make an evening relaxation even during autumn nice experience. Rooms are cosy, with newly renovated bathrooms, giving the feeling of the 60. Breakfast could served more italian food and have more variety, for now its enough.
