ExcellentThis was one of the nicest hotels Ive been visiting. Stayed here for almost week. The room was nice, modern and clean with a great view. Breakfast in the tower was also great. Maybe a little bit more variety of vegetables but that is my personal view. All the staff I met in the hotel was very helpful and pleasant. I really recommend this hotel to everybody.

Children and dogs ? Abstain......Let me start with the positive. The hotel is spectacular and the location is amazing. The room was well appointed and the meal and wine were very good and well priced. HOWEVER, we booked this hotel because it had a pool as we were traveling with a 6 years old. Not allowed we were told. They can only go in between 10am and 1:30pm. No exception. Bad start as it is not written on booking.com and only listed in the section things to know on their web site. No mention of it when you look at the Spa/Pool amenities. It got worse from there when we got a call in the room telling us our 20kg well behave old dog was TOO BIG to be accepted in the hotel ???? Thats where I lost my patience. Their web site and booking.com says pets allowed full stop. We made a fuss and she was finally allowed in the room and restaurant. She is deaf and cant be left alone which had been clearly stated in our reservation. No clients realised she was there until we left the restaurant and no one complained about her presence. So bottom line, this hotel needs to figure out who they want to cater to. If they prefer an adult clientele then say so. Dont pretend to welcome family and pets when the children are allowed in the pool for only a few hours and the pets are judged according to size. Im definitely not going back.

Perfect stayWe had a perfect stay. If you are looking for a place to relaxe, its the place the go. Even if you are in the region of como for sightseeing its interesting because you have all the interesting points around a maximum 45 minutes drive (Milan, Como, etc...). If you dont know where to park, what to do, the staff has some excellent advices. What we appreciated is the calm, staff, the view, the room (deluxe room) and the decoration. For us, the only think who could be improved is the temperature of the pool. It could be one or two degrees warmer. We will come back !

What a Find!!!This was a find of my sister and brother-in-laws, they stayed there last fall. We, my husband and I came , To visit our niece who is staying in the region. The hotel/spa is superb, one of the best places we have ever stayed. It is a half an hour from, the lake Como, And is an hour from Milan. The spa treatments are probably amazing, but I did not take any as the regular spa with wet soaks, the sauna, a whirl pool and a regular pool and the showers, were enough without taking treatments. It was extremely relaxing. The location is incredible like a little secret and the room was perfect, with views overlooking the countryside. You never have to leave because the food and the restaurants are superb. With breakfast included and what I consider a five-star restaurant, you can really check out of your regular life.

Lacks hospitality - not recommendedWe came for a relaxing and unique experience on our last day of holidays and got the exact opposite. This place lacks hospitality. The staff and management don't know how to handle situations and they make mistakes and omit information. They will try to overcharge you for many things. The quality is substandard. When we arrived we asked for room service but were told they are very busy and so this will take more than an hour and that to make it easier we should come to the restaurant instead. So we do and when we get there the waiter tells us arrogantly that for this time they will allow us to order something from the room service menu - as if they were doing us a favour. Then the spa - you can only use the spa 4 hours consecutively (this is omitted from their website). When I received the confirmation of my booking and they sent a message specifying that this needed to be consecutively, we asked if it was possible to do 2 hours one day and 2 hours the next but were straight away declined. We thought about getting massages but they only do it in the afternoon so they said they could do it during our 4 hour spa time or the next day in the afternoon. As we had only booked for one night we said we would think about it and possibly pay extra to pay for the spa the next day so that we could get the massages. However, when we entered the spa, that's when they decided to tell us that they have closed their sauna and hammam for COVID reasons so only the pools are open. When you point it out to them, they say that in the website, it is written "following the Italian decree" but the decree says you can keep open sauna and hammam as long as you do it under reservation and you clean it. So they specifically omit information to lure customers. The spa manager approached us after we spoke to the receptionist and offered us one free cup of Himalayan salts scrub used in the hammam to probably "calm us" which we thought ridiculous and not sure how to take that. When we left the spa and spoke to the receptionist again, they reminded us that they gave us some salts - I was dumbfounded. We obviously did not pay for an extra spa day or the massages. As for the pools, they are not that "interesting". They have the usual jets but the pressure isn't that great and the whirlpool was not hot enough. Their walking cold to hot pool was neither cold enough or hot enough. The atmosphere is like being in a normal hotel swimming pool. The Quercus restaurant was fraud. I have eaten in many fine dining but we paid 230 euros for 2 people that left a bad taste instead of blissful happiness. We went early for an aperitivo - we ordered an over priced glass of their bubbles and the accompaning food arrived 20 minutes after we finished drinking the wine. For dinner, you can order a la carte (recommended) or they have set menus that you don't know what you're getting because it's the chef who comes up with it based on (what we thought) our tastes. We went for their 7 course menu (70 euros per person ) with wine pairing of 4 glasses (35 euros per person). We did not get asked anything about our tastes but just our allergies. Their dishes, although they have a good taste, there was nothing special about them. One of their "seven" dishes was a ball of melon sorbet just before dessert. That's not a dish, that's a pallet cleanser. The porc meat was tough and chewy and their risotto rice was seriously undercooked (which when we mentioned to the waiter we were told it is meant to be like that). Yes risotto should be slightly undercooked but not to the point where you can't chew because you might break your tooth. Their dessert was awful, their mousse chocolate had seized so there were butter clumps. The waiters sometimes did not present the dishes and if they did they wouldn't explain e.g. what type of cheese used etc. The dishes came out too quickly. They hadn't even cleared our plates and they were already bringing out the next dish. It made me think if the food was being microwaved (I really hope not!). Then the wine was not actually paired to the dishes. They just served us their cheapest wine - we paid 35 euros per person (a total of 70 euros for 8 glasses of their cheapest wine which they sell a bottle for 20 euros a la carte and 10 euros if you buy the bottle to take home - serious fraud). They didn't explain the wines and when we asked twice about the same wine the response was "it's a good wine from good grapes" - I think their sommalier should be seriously trained. For payment, we waited 20 minutes but no one came to our table or to ask how was our dinner. We went inside to pay and when we were asked for our opinion and we told them about how one of the wines didn't pair with the dessert, he said "it's subjective"... so we did not bother saying about the rest of the dishes. To add to injury the hotel room, although it was nice - the bath stopper didn't work so you could not have bath and one of the spoons provided was dirty (super gross). Also, they put two beds together and call it a double bed. For an eco friendly hotel, they use capsule machines. The mini bar is over priced and tea facilities not provided. We were told management would be there on check out but they were not which says alot about how much they care about their guests (maybe we were too lowly as we were paying only for a standard room so not worth their time).
