  Charming

  Jenny was very helpful in setting up our family get together. The historic cottage had everything we wanted and was just a short stroll to the centre of town.Any season is wonderful in Tenterfield with the crisp mountain air, plenty of history and nearby magnificent national parks. Fully recommend for a couple or a family.

  2 day exploration of the area

  Very well appointed and decorated in a olden era of Australia's time .. great location close to everything road noise a bit off putting at night .. Extremely comfortable beds and a king size was a bonus .. definitely a home away from home but no port as advertised .. unless it was hidden well .

  Beautifully presented cottage with large fenced yard for your well behaved dog

  We recently stayed at this lovingly cared for cottage where everything was thought of in making us comfortable and snug. This historic cottage is full of interesting art and antiquities but the modern kitchen, spacious living areas and comfortable beds with beautiful linen were also much appreciated. Lovely eco friendly toiletries are great. The fully fenced yard is enormous and has ample under cover onsite parking. The safe yard allowed us to bring our Labrador where he was allowed to sleep outside securely on the deck, however no pets are allowed inside for obvious reasons. Such a pity more places dont allow people to bring their well behaved pets whilst travelling. This cottage is on the busy main highway Rouse St and the trucks do lumber past at all hours but the owners have done their best to limit the noise in the bedrooms with heavy duty glass and thick curtains allowing for a good nights rest. It is a convenient short walk to the shops. We stopped at Little Cambridge Cafe at Mallanganee Lookout for a delicious lunch on the way to Tenterfield.

  Peaceful, convenient, entertaining

  Private, quiet and really relaxing stay. The tennis court and pool table kept us entertained for hours whenever we just felt like hanging about the house and werent out exploring Tenterfield. The Aircon and Netflix were well appreciated, and plenty of onsite parking also. The owners were super friendly and offered way more information than we ever would have thought to ask for. They can also arrange tours around the area if youd like. If you have any questions about the local area, Kevin and Jenny are the people to ask! This property is just outside town, very short drive. We loved how convenient it was to visit town, or head out to Bald Rock or Boonoo Boonoo Falls. The property was larger than we expected, but otherwise exactly what we had thought it would be. Very quiet too, we never noticed the sound of any traffic except if we went outside, and even then it was very minimal.
