  Okay hotel

  Medium quality hotel, not too far away from the National University or the modern mosque. Room decent size, but desk area crammed. Staff not very friendly, with little knowledge of English. Elevator very slow. Everything a little run down, but bed and bathroom ok (only shower). Desk lamp broken and had to be replacee, refrigerator was not working. When finally plugged in, I lost all stations on the tv. Room stuffy and hot, even though no heating was on. Breakfast huge, rather a dinner, very filling and healthy. Fresh and cooked veggies, lots of green stuff, salads, some cheese and mysterious salami. Really plenty buffet, but no juice. Wifi in the room worked very well. Downstairs a bar, not bad. Very hard to communicate with the staff. No city map anywhere. They have a little business center, but the computer mostly did not work. Once, however, I could print out something. This is a hotel which lots of athlete teams frequent, though the noise level was very low for me (11th floor). This hotel was booked for me by my host, but I might not have chosen it myself. Lots of traffic noise from very early on, even up on the 11th floor.

  Average hotel

  Stayed here for one night. It is OK, but there is no bathrobe, bath accessories are used very much (I've seen such a thing first time in my life), the bed linen has a big hole, Wi-Fi isn't good, the window is completely dirty, air conditioner remote doesn't work, breakfast is very poor, it's far from the center. So, I think it's not worth the money.

  Quiet room with helpful and friendly staff

  The staff spoke English which was a great help to us in getting around the city. Room was quiet and temperature was just nice. We stayed on the eleventh floor and could see it snowing all over. Breakfast was good, decent selection ranging from fruits, salad, pastries, meat, oats and eggs and cheese. Staff were also friendly and helpful.

  Rather bad

  I was booked in this hotel by my agent. I will not come back again : three nights in April 2018. 8th floor, with an old mechanical key. Noise in the corridor from children and adults running all over. Erratic WiFi : impossible to connect to a proper signal, but complied to connect to a very poor signal that did. It allow me to check my mail except in the main lobby. Hot water very slow to come in a poorly refurbished bathroom; the shower drains slowly ; after a few minutes it becomes a bath tub. Buffet breakfast is stale , totally stale . The plethoric staff has just one aim: to get rid of you quickly out of the room. On the positive side : the view from the room window 8109 . Not all the rooms have view.

  Average hotel in every ponts

  Average hotel by location, by room size, by furniture, bathroom amenities. Breakfast is terrible. Just price for room is OK. Neither building nor surrounding area corresponds ti Astana high overall standards.
