  Overnight stay wonderful hospitality

  Sharon & Kim were terrific hosts, accommodation was clean & comfortable, fresh chook eggs for breakfast and feeding the many rescue animals and pets was a joy. Highly recommended stay near the historic village of Richmond.

  Amazing Value Farmstay

  We had looked at another farmstay that had lots of positive reviews, but then found this one that was half the price but not many reviews. For the price we decided we would give it a go, surely for 2 nights it would still be ok? Well, this was the most relaxing part of our holiday in Tasmania. The cottage we were in was so clean and modern, and the kids (2&4) loved finding there was a collection of toys and books for them to play with. In the morning we pulled back the curtains to see chickens wandering outside, our son loved going out to talk to them and give them some food scraps. And the breakfast basket delivered by Kim was just divine, especially the freshly laid eggs! The farm tour was fantastic, and I wished we did it both days. Sharon loves all her animals and the kids (and us!) enjoyed meeting them and feeding them. Thankyou Sharon and Kim for your wonderful farmstay, we will definitely be staying with you again on our next trip to Tasmania.

  Relaxing stay in modern cottage

  We enjoyed staying at Taras Richmond Farmstay and used it as a base to explore Richmond, Hobart and then to catch our flight home from the Hobart Airport. The breakfast each morning was amazing and included homemade bread and jam. Our children, 3 and 1, enjoyed watching the chickens out the sliding door in the morning and going to visit the rabbits and horses. The cottage also had a basket of toys which has great for out little ones. They also provided a portacot free of charge for our infant. The cottage is very modern and had plenty of space for us. Great to have a washing machine in it as well. I would highly recommend staying here if visiting the Hobart/Richmond area with young children.

  Excellent Accommodation!

  We stayed two nights here with our two young children, we highly recommend it! The hosts, Kim & Sharon were extremely welcoming and friendly! The breakfast baskets delivered each morning are a real treat with fresh made warm bread, eggs, fruit, cereal and beautiful homemade jams. The animals are all wonderful and have the best names! Well worth a visit and is a great base for exploring the Richmond area & surrounds.

  Great family stay

  Stayed 3 nights late Dec 2020. Had a great time with our 3 kids (10,12,14). Very friendly hosts who love their animals. Family cottages are fresh, clean and new. Breakfast is fantastic. Richmond is a quaint little town with lots of history. Easy access to Hobart too! Glad we stayed here for the Hobart stop of our road trip!
