  Very little English but quiet and good value

  Hotel is 4star Japanese standard and even the best rooms are quite reasonable price wise. Excellent Mountain Views from the rooms. Staff are very friendly but dont expect much English or western food. 2 different onsen areas and, quite unique for a Japanese hotel on the snow, there is a pool which always goes down great with the kids (you need to wear a swimming cap though?)

  Very happy stay at Tangram!

  Stayed for a night at Tangram right at the start of the ski season. Was warmly greeted by the Manager who spoke good English. Made us feel really welcomed! Booked the room during the early bird period so had a good deal. Room came with dinner buffet, breakfast buffet, and ski lift passes. They also provided us with locker tokens to keep our belongings. The buffet was alright / adequate after a tired day at the ski slopes. Its a ski in ski out resort which was awesome. We had a really enjoyable time at the resort largely due to the fact that the ski slopes were empty since it was the opening day (and the place was snowing the few days before!) We love Tangram

  HOTEL TANGRAM (TANGRAM MADARAO TOKYU HOTEL & RESORT)

  We have a skiing crash course at Hotel Tangram, skiing facility is brilliant and you can rent/buy any accessories at its shop and/or skiing center. It is a massive and modern skiing resort. Cable car can bring you to the peak at 1100M (a cafe is there for sightseeing) 3 restaurants available and Tokyo Hands a famous shopping hot spot has a section there too. Special thanks to the manager SAYOKO who help us to arrange driver to take us to the next location during the blizzard.

  Nice hotel, and best service I have never have

  I have stayed there for 4 nights. the room is clean and spacious, all reception counter people is helpful . This place is the best place to ski in Madarao. and the best value of money. the international person in charge Ms Hioki was very helpful. starting from ski rental reservation, as well as helping me to talk to the police station due to lost items. I believe they try to help every guest staying in the hotel I have a very satisfactory stay in this hotel

  Skiing Holiday

  Stayed a whole week, good facilities and good access to the snow. Rooms were well appointed for this style of operation. Staff, was very responsive, although only a few could speak English. However, there was always follow up and action. Catering options seem limited. Big dining room with buffet-style breakfast, lunch and dinner. Small lobby bar with limited hours of operations. Small, but good Soba Noddle place located in the baseman and another restaurant on level 3, again with strict booking procedure and limited hours of operation. Great onsen, both indoor and outdoor with good sauna. Definitely a benefit after a day on the slopes. Overall good facilities with attentive staff.
