  Tranquil and rejuvenating

  I am not a golfer, but was in search for a good 1-2 days retreat to break off my routine and rejuvenate while I was in business in Surabaya.  I decided to go with Taman Dayu Golf Resort and booked 1 night stay at their bungalow. The bungalow is spacious, facing (private) pool shared with 1 other bungalow. There is 1 other bungalow complex beside ours. However there was no other guest at that time (which makes it perfect for me). Mine was situated in a tranquil spot, but not far from the main clubhouse. In the night you could clearly hear the sound of nocturnal insects and animals, which creates an ambiance I loved. I stayed by the pool for hours, sipping wine and enjoying music from my portable audio set. If not for my kids looking for more activities, I would have stayed one more night. What I like: - secluded, but within driving distance from business district where you find minimarkets, food stalls, ATMs, etc. - smooth checkin and checkout. What can be improved: - do not advertise broken facilities. When I called about activities the staff told me about (tandem) bikes that I can use for free. However the bikes are not in a good and safe condition. When I ride the tandem with my kid, the brake broke off and I had to fix it myself. The other bikes are in more or less bad condition (flat tire, need grease, etc).

  Excellent accommodation

  We were a big family party visiting Pandaan for a wedding ceremony, stayed in 2 adjacent villas here. The villas were well maintained, clean and spacious. It had lovely scenery and was cool and serene. Would definitely recommend.

  Just okay

  My family stayed in the 4 bedroom villa. The villa was huge and the room were nice. There's a private swimming pool. One thing that we dislike is the breakfast, we have to go to the hotel by car. And there was a lot of flies at the restaurant. That is a big NO NO for me.

  The Resort that Never Failed in Making Our Stays Enjoyable and Memorable

  Have stayed in this resort several times. And still always want to come back. I have to mention a name who have wonderfully helped my booking. It was a last minute request for 4 rooms.And Mbak Ekki patiently helped the rooms arrangement. Appreciated the rooms assignment, so that we stayed next to each other. And the view from our rooms.... oh Lord.... beautifully amazing! PROs : great location, beautiful lush green landscape, comfortable bed, clean, amazingly friendly staffs, stunning view from rooms, recreation facilities. TO IMPROVE : Cleanliness around the swimming pool, found some areas with lot of mold. Broken furniture. Gym cleanliness. Breakfast selection. This was our 5th stay in the resort. We will surely come back again whenever our travel plans brings us back to the area. Thank you, Mbak Ekki and Taman Dayu Team. Cheers, Akhmad F & family

  Very noisy party pool till night

  I stayed at the hotel 1 night and I was so unlucky to experience the most noisy party ever, till 22:30 at the night. At first I tried to join the party but it saw only drunk people laying on the sofa. Then I went back to my room but the music was so loud that the windows and the door of my bedroom were shaking. This is the last thing I would have expected from such renovated resort. If people want a disco feeling they dont come to Taman Dayu. The staff apologised and tried to terminate the party earlier (disco music supposed to continue till 23:00). I saw the staff embarrassed for this but it should be the top management to be blamed. The hotel structure is quite old too, it would need a renovation. Definitely not a good experience in particular when it is compared to the price I have paid. I heard the golf course are very nice and maybe the best of the whole Java island. Such courses deserve a better resort.
