    A heavenly hide away

Situated deep in the mountain, a place truly and wholehearted designed for people to getaway from busy and hectic real world. It's compact but it got everything enough to let you refreshed. From the room, when weather is fine you can see endless range of views and during the night time, you can just soaked in the open hot spring bath, relaxed and watching the sky, obviously decorated by hundred of thousand twinkling stars. Hot bath plus message were equally perfect pairing other than red wine and cheese! Dinner and breakfast was as good as other ryokans and you can never challenge on the service in any Japanese ryokan. Time was moving quick and it's a pity we didn't have enough time to stroll around the Yoro Park and waterfall right next to the ryokan. Be careful if you drive, it's a narrow two ways one lane traffic and unfortunately I scratched my car a little when dealing with the traffic!

Secret Mountain Hideaway located on the scenic hill

This luxurious Ryokan locates a few mins walk from the Yoro waterfall. We found this place by chance after visting the waterfall and dropped in for lunch and onsen (hot-spring bath). Nice panoramic view from the lobby. We enjoyed the meal which was an authentic Japanese Kaiseki cuisine served on nice Japanese potteries in a private tatami room. Onsen was clean and tidy, there are both indoor and outdoor bath. The indoor bath was not as hot as I expected but the outdoor bath was as hot as I like with nice view from the mountain. The ryokan people were very polite, with great hospitality. We experienced a little moment of serenity with a fantastic food, view, and onsen. Little children (12 year old or below) cannot stay in this ryokan, that may be why the environment of the ryokan was very calm.

Beautiful luxury ryokan nestled in picturesque mountains

WOW! We were beyond impressed with this hidden gem! With only 11 rooms, its a short walk to the Yoro Falls - perfect way to start your day before a delicious, Japanese breakfast. The rooms are large, and ours had a private bath. As we stayed in the heat of August, we were stoked the bath had both cold & hot water - so refreshing after a day of hiking & before a beautiful meal. No issues whatsoever, and we hope to be back soon!

Staying at a traditian Japanese hot spa hotel

What wonderful experience! We had a traditional room with a private hot spring bath. Guest are ushered to the traditional dinning rooms individually, so you do not see other guests. The feeling is that you are the only guests.A inspiring waterfall is a short 10 minute walk. We are looking forward to returing next year.
