    Centrally Located

    Was at Tachikawa for a workshop and stayed for 2 nights. Upon stepping into the lobby, one can see that hotel is rather old with its dated decor and trimmings. Service: The staff at the Front Desk were very polite and spoke decent english. We had arrived early at 1230 pm which was before the check-in timing. They offered to hold our luggage while we went out for lunch. Just as we were about to leave, the Front Desk came running over to inform us that our room is ready and we could check-in immediately. Room: We had book a triple bedder room. Room size was fairly large for Japanese standards. There were 3 rather wide single beds in the room and even with a small coffee table and chairs, we could still open 2 full sized luggage on the floor. The room was clean and came a small wardrobe unlike other hotels which are mostly hangers on railings. Toilet came with a full size bathtub too. Location: It's just a 10 min walk from the North exit of Tachikawa station. One can find numerous restaurants and 24 hrs convenience store around the hotel. Huge Don Quijote store is located right in front of the hotel while Daiso, Isetan, Takashimaya and BIC camera are just round the corner. Transport: The airport limo bus stops at the bus stop just 10 metres in front of the hotel. We had arrived to Tokyo via Narita but found the 2.5 hr limo bus to be rather pricey. Instead, we took a 1000 yen shuttle bus from Narita to Tokyo Station before hopping onto the Chuo Line to Tachikawa, The journey took a shorter time and cost only a fraction of the limo bus

    Relatively cheaper choice nearby train station

    5 minutes walk from JR station, comvenient stalls and restaurants nearby. Room and design is a bit old fashioned. wifi is hardly working , kept running at low speed. Stayed here only because JR Mets nearby is fully booked

    Decent Stay

    Stayed at Tachikawa Grand Hotel once again within 3 months from last visit. Service was the same as previous visit. Staff was polite and helpful. They even sent our bags to our room while we were out shopping. Kudos to that. However, it seems like the housekeeping staff starts to make up the room pretty early in the morning. We were still in our room getting ready for the day when the housekeeping lady knocked on the door at 930 am. I though that was quite early.

    Excellent hotel Near Tachikawa station north. One minute from Indian restaurant Mayur Tachikawa. New building of hotel is being constructed. Foreigners are very comfortable & enjoy the luxury atmosphere at a reasonable price.

    Small rooms

    Hotel and room was clean but it was very small. There was less than 2 feet between the bed and the desk and the chair was jammed into a small area. Most services were scaled back or suspended due to Covid-19 so I cant comment on those.
