  Terrible rude staff.

  Stayed for four nights. The hotel is old and outdated but not terrible. The worst part of this hotel is the nasty woman at the front desk who is incredibly rude. She yelled at our 2 year old children when we wanted to go in the pool. She screamed at us in the parking lot claiming that we are speeding when we weren't and she complained about getting us towels for the pool. The staff needs some training in customer sevice.

  Nice stay

  The location of the Motel is ideal and the kids love the pool. The buildings are older but they have renovated several areas and it appears clean (love the flowers too). The gentlemen at the desk were helpful & polite and we were never told to remove our shoes upon entry, contrary to another comment below. We will continue to visit :)

  Group booking

  The price quoted for the 9 rooms that we booked was not the price that we paid. We booked directly with the hotel and the rate for the rooms on our 2nd night were more than previously quoted. Our individual room had excessive moisture dripping on the windows during our whole 2 day stay. Our bathroom had mold. Members of our party were not treated in a very friendly manner by the person on the reception on the Friday of our stay. Our group will not go back.

  Very Disappointed

  So disappointed!!!!! Went to the Best Western Sword in Bancroft with the grandkids. Went to the breakfast area and actually spoke to reception about the time the pool opened as the kids really wanted to go for a swim before we left. Reception said it opened at 9:30. So we pack up everything to be ready to check out. Went back to reception to go to the pool and find out they have closed the pool. Said it was for maintenance and we had to wait for about and hour or hour and a bit. I asked for a bit of a discount since we couldnt use the pool this morning. She advised that she couldnt do that. I asked to speak to her supervisor so she went to get them and conveniently they had just stepped out. We have been to this hotel a number of times with our grandkids so we werent just travellers passing through. This time we are very disappointed. Then I received a phone call - shortly after 11 stating the pool was now open. So that meant we would of needed to just hang around for two hours with a 13 and 10 year old who would have been totally bored. We went there to play in the pool. Not to wonder around waiting Why wasnt the pool tested between 10PM and 9:30 AM when it is closed anyways. No! They had to inconvenience their clients. So very upset. They ruined the end of a lovely get away for us. We have gone here and done this almost every year before school started - for at least 5 or 6 times. Guess we need to find another area.

  2 day get-away

  Quiet Motel, but filthy room! Have been to WAY cheaper motels and got much better service. Pillows and bed skirt should be thrown out years ago. Back entrance had a noisey door and old rotted mat. More expensive less service! I suppose that's the new norm. Sad to see no pride in running a business to satisfy high paying customers. Will not be Back, but will warm others NOT to stay there
