Restaurant review onlySince new management we have found the quality of the food less reliable. As a group of 20, who would have liked to continue our monthly booking, we were made to feel unwelcome, due to our wish to order our food and pay separately. We were also told the menu would be changing in the new year, and there would be no more seniors prices, and that the cheapest item on the menu would be at least $25. I do not mind the price increase, but the way it was delivered made it sound like they just did not want seniors frequenting their restaurant in the future. There were 2 other staff members who also made it known that it was all too much trouble, with the rolling eye routine and the sour faces, where a smile would have made everyone feel better. Good luck with your new and improved operating procedures as the total number of people eating at the restaurant at lunch time on a Wednesday was predominantly seniors, maybe 8 -10 persons under 60 years of age. Obviously our $$$ are not good enough for this venue. Please understand that some of our members have had highly successful businesses in the hospitality industry during their working careers. Definately NOT recommended especially if you are a senior.

Yes, but then NOWe decided to celebrate our 31st anniversary at the location we had our reception. Was looking forward to it, until. - slow check in - minimalist room, in all senses, and most basic of supplies. - dirty carpets throughout, with food - challenges with dinner, and overpriced for standard (basic) feed - poor set up and closure of restaurant door from one end resulting in an extra 300m walk to breakfast (for mobility impaired guest) - disinterested, half awake check out - dead insects in restaurant, on windows sill beside table

Never again - do not recommendPositives: lots of parking and off the main road which meant it was quieter in terms of road noise. Beds and pillows were all comfortable. We are staying over Xmas and it is quiet in terms of numbers of guests - which Im glad about as the experience would have been even worse (if thats possible) if it had been busy. Negatives: River view deluxe room is actually car park view room and bathtub is made for someone 4ft tall! Not to mention your river view private balcony is open to all the rooms around you who can just wander in to your space. The River view deluxe room was also located directly under the bar and restaurant. We asked to change rooms as the neighbouring room were playing loud music and smoking on our balcony at checkin. They moved us to a smaller, quieter room with no bath or balcony but still charged us for the deluxe room - about $400 difference. We also had to ask multiple times for wifi info as there was no information in the rooms about any amenities, the restaurant etc. Trying to book at the restaurant has been a disaster. No bin in the room (only bathroom), instant coffee only and alarms on all the doors around us meant we were woken up all night when drunk people were returning at 2-3am. This has been an overwhelmingly disappointing stay for $1332 for 6 nights. I should have stayed up the road at the country comfort for half the price in a much larger room. Never again.

DisgustingBad service the room was a disaster room with broken taps in the bathrooms ripped up carpet , the staff member had no empathy at all made us pay one night accomodation for two rooms even though we were clear we werent happy to stay there ! Luckily the crown promenade took us on that night finally having a bed to sleep in by 11 pm at night after driving 5 hours to Perth we were extremely tired abs thankful the crown were so accomodating for us to stay 5 nights for our family holiday . Do not stay here

Business meetingThis is a fantastic hotel with great amenities including business rooms. I have previously visited the restaurant and impressed with the quality and quantity of the meals. On this occasion I just enjoyed the facilities and will look forward to returning sometime soon for another meal and maybe an overnight stay.
