We got the big surprise when we have to pay bill ( room + breakfast + tuk tuk ) beacuse they want to charge us 10% service charge ( inclu tuk tuk ) pls be careful with breakfast They will put bottle water on you table but It is inclu in your breakfast ( you have pay )

Beautiful locationwe choosen the Suwanila Rest on the way to Dambulla, booked it by internet mainly for the location close to the lake and it was a great choice.. The view is fantastic, the location absolutely quiet, the personnel and the owner is kind although only one guy speaks a good english, but communicate was not a problem. The room is simple but plentiful of space and clean, don't expect the Grand Hotel, but there is everithing you need. Good and generous Sri Lankan meals for a good price and fantastic breakfast with fresh fruit. The only bad thing happened at the end of our stay, when we asked the owner to take us by his own tuktuk in Habarana cause my partner had fever and wasn't able to stand at the station waiting for a bus for unknown time. I tried to bargain but for our weak situation i didn't want to insist longer so we've been overcharged.

Amazing viewThe setting is idyllic, with simple, spacious and very clean rustic rooms located in an expanse of green palm trees, grassland and fields beside a large lake in which one can swim. The large rooms are spotlessly clean, with big, wide, comfortable wooden beds. There are several different relaxation and dining areas, depending on one's mood. The staff spoke very little English but this was not a problem and negotiating transport was really fun. The owner took us to see his second hotel which is due to open in the near future on a huge plot of land where elephants pass by daily and in full view of Sigirya - that will be a must for the future.

Excellent Location, Nice ViewHave visited the place with colleagues and friends for lunch. The location is very good with an excellent view of the Ibbankatuwa Lake. The facilities are on a small scale but is complimented by the spacious surroundings covered with large trees and of course the water front view. This is NOT within walking distance from the Dambulla town (about a 5 minute drive) and you will have to have your own mode of transport. Serves a Sri Lankan and a limited Chinese Food menu but the price appear to be a little on the high side when compared with the quality of food. The place is good for a day outing and a fellowship. Have not utilized the rooms and hence unable to comment about in-house facilities.
