  TERRIBLE- PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE

  Hate reading bad reviews- this place unfortunately required one. First room okay when we first got there...after picking up about 5 dead cockroaches from the floor. We then found there was no water for washing or flushing toilet. We were moved to another room at 3.30am which was a lot better...until the door panel on the bathroom door came off - which on closer inspection had been broken previously and just temporarily "fixed?" - worst hotel in 4 months of SE Asia

  Terrible budget hotel

  We spent 4 nights in this hotel. Location is good (not appropriate for children), easy accessible to Saladaeng BTS station and other amenities. The room was dirty and dusty. The toilet was one of the worst. We have repeatedly reminded them to clean the room but we ended up cleaned ourselves. We stayed in the room 301 and the air-cond was not functioning well. Each time we left the hotel the air-cond would not work and it required us to inform the hotelier to service. More than 8 times we have to inform and let the hotelier to repair the air-cond. Pictures shown how inconsiderate the technician who stepped on my bed just to check the air-cond.

  Contrary to other reviews ... I got a good nights rest

  Sure, this hotel isnt luxury - it still has an aura of seediness about it despite renovations, but actually I got the best night sleep in Asia for ages here and the staff were really on point with the service, couldnt fault them AND my room was clean too! For half the price of the other hotels nearby (tarntawan) this was very good value for money. As has been noted by other reviewers, the breakfast is eggs, toast and coffee but again have to say I got breakfast after I missed the deadline and the eggs were well cooked. Id stay again.. pleasantly surprised....

  Urgent renovation is needed!

  Location is very good but overall product is completely run down. Urgent renovaton is a must!! May be rebuild / rebranding is the right time to do so. Staff very attentive but mostly are seem silver age.

  Great Location

  I first stayed at Suriwongse Hotel some years ago, not realizing that it was a filthy flophouse patronized by drunks and other low-life. But then it was given a major makeover. While it is still not the "Ritz" it offers excellent value for money with its clean rooms, comfortable beds, and great location. It is just short walks from all the major shopping centers on Suriwongse and Silom Roads, and the famous Patpong Night Market. (Mind you, I would not recommend this place if you have young kids or you are accompanied by your aging maiden aunt, for it is also at the epicenter of go-go girl and go-go boy bars and massage parlours, whose touts can sometimes be a big aggressive in inviting to "just look inside"). Just Baht 1,450 for a large double room.
