  Good location B&B

  I stayed this B&B with my family(4adults) and my dog, Labrador boy in June 2010. This B&B is not luxurious hotel, but clean enough, nice and cozy. The owner's dog, Tiera (Sorry if it's misspelled), is so sweet. If you are dog person, you would love to play with her. The location is convenience to have sightseeing since it's located in Onna which is mid-Okinawa. Good to go to North and middle to enjoy Okinawa nature. However if you are shopping person, this location wouldn't suit your needs, better to stay in Naha or even Chatan. And you definitely need to rent a car. There is local bars(restaurants? Called IZAKAYA in Japanese) where you can have Okinawa local food and one place allows 'Take away' which was convenient for us. And another place allows dogs come in (Most of place doesn't accept dogs except small tiny dogs), the place was in tropical mood and their food was lovely. This B&B owner gave us these information, it was very helpful. My brother, father and dog went to sea kayaking which was managed by this B&B. The instructor was nice and friendly, they really loved the experience. The owner keeps good distance to guests, but yet polite, friendly and nice. He helps us when we need, he left us when we just want to have a fun by ourselves. Very comfortable place. If you go to Okinawa with your family, friends, or even by your own, and want to feel Okinawa, this place is recommended.

  Awesome B&B, with perfect location

  We stayed 4 nights there and everything was perfect. Super clean and very friendly service. The owner was really helpful with showing us a secret wonderful beach and even gave us his private snorkel gear for one day for free. All in all absolutely recomendable!

  Not really recommended, for the price

  We spent one night here. The room is clean with wifi, not so comfortable bed. The owner is a diligent man with some happy 4 legs friends, we love these furry little guys. Otherwise, we are not here to spent 14000 yen a night for carrying our luggage toward the room, same thing happened checking out. A bit higher price compare to other choice in Onna. Merit: Near 58 but quite, good for gazing-star, tasty breakfast. But if you are not a budget player, just skip sufside B&B.

  Bring your dog on vacation with you!

  It was wonderful to find a hotel that accepted dogs! My dog hates it when I leave her to go on vacation but I've now found the perfect solution. The Surfside B&B was extremely accommodating despite the fact that I have a rather large dog (she's 90 lbs). The place is extremely comfortable from the beds, to the breakfast seating on the patio (or inside with a view of the ocean if you don't have a dog), to the hospitality of Sato san. They even had a very large comfortable kennel in an air conditioned room for her to relax in while I went to a wedding for several hours. I felt totally comfortable leaving her there. There is a place to wash your dog if you take him or her out to the beach for the day and they even let you use their towels. No dogs in the room if you are not in there and definitely no dogs allowed on the bed. There are little hooks all over the hotel area for you to attach your dog's leash (like while you are in the courtyard eating the delicious breakfast Sato san prepares for you) which makes it super easy to have your dog with you and not have to hold on to the leash. Our room was facing the forest and had a balcony. It wasn't luxurious but it was large (by Japanese standards), comfortable and had a hair dryer, shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, and razors provided. The bill is paid ahead of time and they only accept yen (no credit cards). The place looks a bit run down (chipped and faded paint and decor that is older) but who cares when you can bring your fur baby with you and it is comfortable and inviting. The wifi didn't work in our room but it does work downstairs. There are a good number of restaurants around to include H&S burger which is a tiny little burger place but has to be some of the best burgers on island! The Beach restaurant has picnic tables out back so you can bring your dog out to eat with you. Surfside B&B was definitely worth the trip and not only will we tell our friends about it, we will definitely be coming back many times this summer and as long as we live in Okinawa and they are open!!!
