  Updated rooms

  We are owners of this timeshare and always enjoy our time. The units have been significantly updated and are comfortable for two people and possibly small children. Units are close and sound can be a factor. No elevator.

  Would not visit this resort again.

  Ill start with the good things. The rooms, while super small (500 sf) are very nice and clean and well equipped. Nicely decorated. The pool is a nice size. You are allowed to rent bikes as there are a lot of bikers on the island. You can also are able to rent a paddle board or kayak with a deposit and limited time slot. Ok the last think, its location on the island is good. For the 3 star review that I gave... I guess Im spoiled being a Bluegreen owner. Everyone at Bluegreem resorts are so curious and go the extra mile. Here, Lynn who runs the office was snippy twice on the phone but nicer in person but weve not seen one employee since weve been here at all. They have no food on the premises. No little convenience store for aspirin or bandages. No tiki bar, no live music, no chairs on the beach or umbrellas. So, you have to carry or drag them out ( a good distance) everyday and bring them back when done. No lifeguards at the pool. The beach was average at best. I know thats not the resorts fault. But, there about 10 feet of sand before you hit all the shells if you like walking at the waters edge, this isnt the place to do it. In fact the shells hurt your feet. You could use flip flops. Idk, its just not up to Bluegreem s standards but its not Bluegreens properly and I got snapped at saying something about Bluegreem to Lynn on the phone as well. All in all we give it an average rating. Its more like a two story motel than a resort. The grounds were pretty though.

  Beach front vacation

  Beautiful beach front vacation with pool, tennis court and chairs you can walk out to the shore with. Nice, free, laundry facility for all to use. Good proximity to all things Sanibel, marina, restaurants. There are even free bicycles to use on the gorgeous paths that are all over the island!

  Quiet resort with nice features

  The Surf rider beach club is nice complex right on the beach with a dune walkover but not views. There is wild life both in and out of the water. The complex provided beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes and paddle boards which was nice feature. I had to work part of the week, which was easy since the resort had good wifi.

  Surf Rider Beach Club

  This location was great, right on the beach. However the rooms were rather small for a 1 BR would have preferred a 2 BR. Very nice pool and good location on island. The staff were nice and check in was just as expected.
