  Old filthy unit,Manager disgusting

  We had been here before and had no problems. We booked a front oceanview apartment through the hotel.We got the beautiful view but the apartment was a disgrace. We arrived early and were told it wasnt ready so we waited about 1.5 hrs assuming cleaning was being done. The unit was filthy and old. Shower screen broken, curtain broken, crumbs on bench,crushed up biscuit under lounge cushions, blood stain on cushion of dining chair, vanity in disrepair, leaking paint can stored in kitchen cupboard with oven trays.When we complained Manager was extremelty rude. would not give refund. Yes they showed us other units but they were not absolute oceanview as we had paid for. It took many calls for someone to come up. Cleaning was done following day.Still got the photos to prove it.Totally disappointed

  A bit disappointing

  My wife and I have been staying at Surfers Aquarius other than a couple of years for the past fifteen years and we have thoroughly enjoyed it every time we have come for our two week winter break ,as it is only the two of us a one bedroom apartment has been ample but on trying to book again for this year the one bedroom option is no longer available , the disappointment comes from the fact that a number of correspondence from myself explaining my interest was after some prompting given as that option is not available and after the number of times which we had stayed which I had made them aware I would have thought an explanation may have been forthcoming. So from us its thanks for the memories and I hope this may prompt a little better customer service

  Great stay

  Fantastic resort. Friendly staff great facilities. Views of the beach go on forever and the location is perfect. We stayed in apartment 39b it was beautiful. I would have given it 5 stars but the Foxtel didn't work nor did the dishwasher other than that perfect in every way and I will definitely stay their again

  Safety concerns with exposed electrical wiring and a very tired and dilapidated unit offered.

  Unsafe unit offered. Exposed electrical risk at a main power source. Dryer tripping the safety off after 6 minutes of operation. Tap fallen off in the shower, leaking basin, bath, washers and stems crushed down so tight that the children could not turn them. Dinning room chairs falling apart. No remote control for the small television. Whistle constantly heard from kitchen windows as seals gone.Rotted bathroom cabinet. Stayed one night of the 6 nights booked. Spoke to manageress next morning as we had to leave. Told that we could have an upgrade, alternatively a refund after we told her which unit we were in. We were told she would ring us that afternoon after I had settled down. Did not hear from her, e-mailed them 3 times on their official e-mail address. No replies and no response. They took our money and now we have to take further action. Some units are undergoing major renovations at that time on various floors. Totally disgusted and to just be ignored is devastating. What more can I say ....

  Manageress promised refund and failed to deliver. Unit a disgrace. Pitiful.

  Most dismal holiday unit we have ever experienced. The place is undergoing major renovations. So ask yourself, when a lot of units are being renovated where will the holiday makers stay. Answer, 'In another run down unit awaiting major repairs.' Stayed only 1 day and had to get out. When the manageress was told the unit number we were offered a full refund. That's where ends. Information for everybody, being offered a refund or upgrade just keeps 'Office for Fair trading', of their backs. Always take photos and as my husband did, record the conversation. (Note only in a public area for legal reasons) When the management go hiding and they did. Totally refused to talk to fair trading. They will record the lack of response. Will post the result of the QCAT hearing upon completion. Plenty of photos to back yourself up. If successful a police complaint will be made with respects to section 426(2) of the criminal code. Watch this space.
