Blobbing great timeMyself , hubby and friends stayed over clamping on a sat,day night . We had 2 separate pods , next door to each other. We also did 1 hour on the splash and crash course . The water / surfing area was a lot of fun although maybe to many people all at once when doing the splash and crash , due to group size only got 1 go of the actually blob ( high platform that you jump off onto a inflatable pillow) and the inflatable obstacle course seemed rushed. You can hire wet suits for £5 each , of u dont have your own. if surfing is your thing , Id imange the facilities are great !!! The clamping pods have electric sockets , lights , underfloor heating and 2 compartments front & back) the front consists of 2 single / seating areas with mattress and the back area houses a double floor mattress . Outside each pod have either a bench or table n bench . Depending on location of pod will determine how far you have to walk to the toilet/shower block . We stayed in pod 33 and 34 which was probably furtherest away from the toilets . No issues in the day but at night there is not much lighting and the ground is hardcore . You can use the hot tubs & sauna until the surf pack is closed , there is 2 hot tubes however didnt use as unfortunately there was alot big parties and the water looked very murky after lots of usage and probably worst by the morning, I d like to think that it was dealt with and cleaned that day as all the other amenities around the site were spotless . NO BBQ allowed There is also a ping pong table to use. There is a cafe that serves food from 8am until 5pm I think and then the bar does meals from 5pm till 9pm . The menu was basically pizza or burger athough it was very good quality and taste however be prepared to wait as a very slow service especially when there are big groups Overall I would definitely use the clamping pods as a base again .

Perfectly pleasant, but not good value for moneyWe stayed here about a month ago as we were doing the Splash & Crash course at the lake; the overnight stay was a gift as part of our trip via Virgin Activity Days. First of all, booking was very tricky... if you have a voucher you can't stay on weekends, and you can't stay at all during the entire summer holiday. We didn't want to wait until mid-September (especially with Welsh weather!) so decided to take some time off work, and still were only given one day that we could use out voucher for! Given the long drive of around four hours, we inquired about booking a second night's stay and was told that the cost would be £100-£120! We decided to book our second night at a nearby campsite, and I'm so glad we did! While we had a lovely stay, there's just no way we could have justified spending that amount of money for what you get! Pros:- - Clean - Lockable - Quiet location - we had a great night's sleep - Clean showers nearby - No need to set up a tent - Sauna and Jacuzzi - Own picnic bench directly outside Cons:- - The comfort and ease of not camping is just not worth paying £100 per night extra for - No BBQs or campfires allowed, clearly trying to force as many people as possible to have their food in the bar! - Prices for drinks from the bar are really mixed; beer was okay, but a bottle of wine we bought - their house - was extremely overpriced

Adventure few days.Brought our own touring caravan, pros Good value for money, good clean showers, friendly staff, nice restaurant. Great staff on crash & splash really enjoyed that. Good base for visiting attractions and exploring North Wales. Cons Too many hen and stag do's, noisy, very late into the night/early morning, Because of the above, the hot tubs were filthy. Sauna was not hot enough. In general would go back, as we arrived on a wed the surf lake was under maintenance, unfortunately, due to lack of water it did not fill up so we had our surfing lessons cancelled and never got to sit and watch the waves, maybe next year.

Fun but could be excellent! Shame about the new location of the pods, no facilities & drunk/high/paralytic party goers.Perhaps if I hadnt already visited and known the pods used to overlook the lagoon and used to have hot tubs and a sauna then I wouldnt have been so disappointed to find that they had been moved to the car park. They back onto a lovely woodland which is heavily inhabited by midgies and most parts of the day and all night long. There are NO CAMPING FACILITIES. There is a toilet and shower block. Thats it. Thats not providing facilities for campers. No washing up facilities. Just an outside sink would suffice. Even the most basic campsite has that. Not even a standpipe for access to water. We get that you want us to eat in your restaurant. And we did! But we also need facilities for other times, youll still make your money from us dining! The location used to be so cool, it was part of the allure. To be honest, the new location means I wont return. It is not the vibe we were looking for. We loved sitting out on the deck and watching the waves roll by whilst the kids ran up and down (The new set up didnt allow for the kids to play like that), the stairs were an issue for the littlest ones too. It just means we couldnt relax. And we were given the worst positioned pods despite having booked well in advance and having asked for pods together. It seems everyone else including the drunk teenagers were given priority over location. I know youre building a hotel but there are other locations around the lagoon too. Its big enough! This was poorly thought through. Paying for the privilege to look out across a rough car park was not my idea of fun. I feel like you just dont know who to cater to. Families, the surfer community, chilled people or the very opposite? The festival you had on the Saturday was great music, we love that vibe but unfortunately it was predominantly populated by paralytic day drinkers. That was okay until they started spilling over into the restaurant area where my kids were playing. The service in the restaurant was terrible. Matt was the only one who stepped up but most of the time we (a table of 9), were waiting. We were served our food long after other people who had arrived later were served theirs and we were seated for 20 mins before our order was taken. Festival goers were using the restaurant bar and they were serving them first. Last time we came there was also a big party in the tipi. Kids go to bed early. Campers go to bed early. It seems you just dont know who to cater for. Its great that you finished the festival at 9:30pm but there was the subsequent fall out, some of the partiers had glamping pods and were going back and forth to the loos making a racket all night. Its such a shame but its just not what we were after. If youre a family looking for a chilled vibe where you can surf, socialise outside your pod and the kids can roam, just like your promo video showed, its not going to happen here.

MisleadingDrove an hour to get there as the website says the soft play centre is open. It wasnt. It looks like they are advertising a lot of stuff that hasnt been built yet. Also worst kids meal ever. A bowl of pasta and tomato sauce. No salad no nothing. Wont be going back
